However, I would definitely watch anyone who is checking there resources with their "hand" in their hands. When checking your resources you don't "need" to have your "hand" in your hand.
It would be a LOT harder to pull off resource switching if your "hand" was sitting on the table away from your resources.
––I've seen resource mishaps done alot easier when Player A places their whole hand down on their face down resource and then picks up all the cards- 1+ turns later oh whoops I'll put the card back.
I'd like to believe there is no reason your hand has become so heavy you have to put your cards down and rest during a game... but hey that is just my opinion.

You've never played against Cosmic Cops, have you? ^_^
Hand is folded out and held with both hands when I am doing nothing else. I play cards, check my resources, and activate stuff useing my right hand while holding my hand with my left. Very rarely will i put it down, and it is usally to keep track of endurance or when I activate alot of stuff at once, like team attacking.
I keep my hand one of two ways if it is my opponents initiative I will set my hand away from my play area and deck/KO'ed pile to rest my hands or if it is my initiative I do like Typhon and fidget with them. I look like some of the guys from World Series Of Poker with cards instead of chips lol.
I'd like to add that the WORST thing in the world to do with your cards is shuffle them in your hand.
A player who audibly flicks the cards in their hand is one of the most annoying things in the world.
I'm not talking about normal fidgetting, but the annoying "shuffle, shuffle, shuffle, lay a card, shuffle." It's grounds for a casual warning, in my book.
If I have enough cards in my hand for the threat to be genuine, I hold my cards in my hand during my opponent's attack step like I'm ready to use one. They'll be thinking I have a power-up or a Nasty surprise, Acrobatic Dodge, etc. ready. Just a nice little intimidation factor that I don't think would irritate my opponent.
I have ALL the answers. So much so that I don't even need to hold my "hand". I'm so unconcerned with whatever you will attempt to do, that I don't need to look at my cards.
I played a guy at the NJ $10k who only had 1 hand. He handled (no pun intended) it really well. He also soundly beat my butt. You never know how lucky you are to have 2 hands until you see how difficult it is to only have 1.
