I think that the concept of 'teams' is an outdated oversimplification of the group dynamic in Amsterdam. Unlike the cold hard streets of New York, Amsterdam is a place where people from all teams can get together and be friends. Whichever team is the 'friendliest' will likely be the most represented.
'Come on people now
Smile on your brother
Everybody get together
Try to love one another
Right noooow...'

Maybe we'll see a team of hippy heroes who win the game by seducing your opponents board to your side. they'll have a card named 'make love, not war' which will have the win condition 'if you controll 5 times the number of character of your opponent, win the game'

I think it depends on which tech gets developed most in this short time period before the Amsterdam Pro Circuit event. Marvel Knights / Sinister Syndicate seems like it might be able to offer some cheap trickery in the super offense and KO'ing department. The Underworld offers three different decktypes by itself that means it's highly likely we'll see them make it big with at least one. Those three, BTW, are New Blood rush, Asmodeus' Turn 6-6-6 curve(sque), and Nightmare / Witching Hour stall. I'd actually say that UW making it to the top 8 with at least one build is pretty likely. If curve goes big in this format too, the Crime Lords will have it made. Between their reinforcement tech and the ability to afford the use of Rise from the Grave to keep up their key characters, they'll have some powerful tools to overcome. CL/SF might be something that gets considered, given their team's abilities to combo up attack strength in the late game with Kingpin and Scarlet Spider. Curve decks will have a particularly tough time running into them offensively, and rush decks will probably be crushed by a well-built onslaught. The question is whether this build can provide enough consistency.
Well spiderman will be the most played at Amsterdam, i'm pretty sure we can all agree on that. What ultimately will come out as being the top format i think will be the rush decks. Specifically Syndicate rush or Underworld Rush.
They pack the same sort of punch as new brotherhood and now minus the acro dodges and overloads they are that much more dangerous.
Spiderman has a tough matchup with Asmodeus decks and might not even make it to turn 7 against beatdown or rush decks. I think Marvel Knights/splash, will be the most popular decks.
Spider Friends and Marvel Knight/splash will see significant play; each one will place, at most, 1 deck in the top 8. Each team's performance will be viewed as a 'disappointment'.
SS Rush and Honor Among Thieves will make a strong showing; both will finish with multiple decks in the top 8.
X-Statix will be played by a relatively small number of people, but it will suprise a lot players and place a couple of decks in the top 8.
Underworld will see the least amount of play; someone will pilot a New Blood/Frost/Mephisto(5)/Asmodeus jank /combo deck to the top 8.
I think X-men will own modern age. Of course you have to team them up with X-static and go for the solo thing and use fight to the finish and all the other stall jank and then drop professor at 8 then again at 9 and then if you are all out of him drop the one drop professor and use him to do it again. That should be game.
To be honest you cannot predict waht decks aer going to top 8 in the end. You have to remember that day 2 is still going to be drafting, so that is going to influence the top 8 enourmousy, however I guess we will have to see how day 1 goes for the best deck lists. I predicst Skrulls by the way and lots of em.......:p
