Does Spider-Tracer negate my opponents ability to exhaust Teen Titans characters for Roy Harper's effect after Spider-Tracer resolves? Me and some friends disagreed on this and are basically wondering if Roy's exhaust effect targets himself, I think it does.

The rule is very clear: if the effect does not use the word "target", it does not target.
My understanding of the rules was that a card that is self-referential(as in has the characters name in the ability) Was by default targeted.
If that is not the case - explain why in a head to head match when you exhaust a Teen titans character to give Roy Harper +2 atk My Roy harper does not get +2atk as well as yours?
I have been wrong before but since my Roy Harper doesn't get the +2 atk even though the ability doesn't say give a Roy harper you control +2 atk; that his ability either targets or both Roy Harpers would get the +2 atk.
This is more about clearing up the rules than anything else. I just would like a clear ruling that made sense.
Raekwon: When a card named Roy Harper<>Arsenel referes to Roy Harper, it means the card that generated the effect. There is NO targeting unless the word TARGET appears in the card text. There is NO implied targeting.

Only the word "target" denotes a target.
Effects which reference the name of the card which generated the effect refer only to the specific object which generated the effect.
