Hi guys. Well Typhon and Fatalsync think that this particular area of the side could use an extra bit of moderation, so I have come on board as neutral ground mod.

First thing I want to do is establish a list of members who would be prepared to act as escrow agents.

Only members with more than 30unique refs will be accepted. Please post here is you are interested, including your location and a link to your ref page.

This is not a realmworx support service. As ever, Realmworx cannot and will not be held liable for the trades agreed on this forum. It is important that any trader looking to use an escrow service check out the agent's trade history. This list is not a "VSRealms approved Escrow Agent" list. This is purely a list of people who are prepared to Escrow.

For those who don't know. The idea behind escrow is to offer a safe and secure trading service for those nervous about online trading. An escrow agent is a middleman

The idea is that it should work as follows.

• Kamiza agrees a trade with Kergillian. Neither trader wants to send first due to worries over "rippers" (Kergy is a total bandit!!! :P [joke]).
• Kam and Kergy agree to escrow.
• They find an escrow agent willing to help (from this list). Stubarnes agrees to escrow for this trade.
• Kam and Kergy send their cards to Stu. When Stu recieves both sides of the trade, he sends the cards on to the waiting traders.
• Piff, Paff, Poof. Everyone is a winner. .

It is down to the traders to agree details with the escrow agent regarding his postage costs. A couple of suggestions are :
Send a pre-paid, addressed envelope with the cards that the escrow agent can use.
Send money or cards to compensate for the postage cost.

Please only offer your services as an escrow agent if you are prepared to put yourself out. If you are a “slow” trader, it is probably not a good idea to volunteer.

zone=negative : you have to have good refs, no valid bad trader reports, and be prepared to put yourself out. Other than that (and the 30 refs) that's it. This is not a service that is in anyway provided by, or endorsed by VSRealms or Realmworx. It is simply a list of volunteers who are prepared to Escrow for traders.

Is there a cost to usign escrow aside from providing postage for the escrow agent to send the package?

no cost all you have to do is provide the cost to send to escrow and escrow to other trader. the escrow varifies that all cards are there that are mentioned in the trade.

we do it to help other people out that need a third party for a farely large trade so that nobody gets ripped off.
