I like vs. cause unlike Magic I really don't need to get each set. I just wait for a team that I like and I get that team. And then just buy singles from the new sites. But I know some players buy each set and build decks for all the teams. Just wondering what everyone’s theory on this.
I only build decks from each set if I think they are actually good or if I have to(like with Modern Age). I really don't think it's worth the money to get into each set with no chance of your deck being good.
That would be me. I buy into each set, and typically pick one or two teams that I'll want to develop, and then trade away anything else. For the past couple of sets, though, I'd been able to buy more cards and have one deck for each team almost.
I started playing around MSM, so I bought some MOR and DOR packs to start, and then a box of MSM. I bought a box of DSM, MMK, and plan to buy a box of DGL. This is because I always like playing with as many teams as I can, but also because with new sets come cards for old teams, and those are handy to have to. People also usually trade more for newer stuff, so if you buy packs of the latest set and pull something big then you can trade it for a lot of stuff from the older sets that you might need. If you have the money, you should buy at least half a box of each set as it comes out.
All my decks are just usually which team I think is coolest out of the latest set. Probably why I haven’t made a big showing at the tournament scene:rolleyes:
