k in a fun draft after a pcq, i drafted 2 Dead Eye, 1 Dr. Light, 3 Cosmic Conficts, 2 No man escapes the manhunters, and 1 Thunderous Olslaught. Every game i would hit dead eye on 2 and dc light on 3, i would lock them, it was pretty cool.
how exactly is this a "lock", 1) hounds just need to attack directly to ko a character 2) deadeye has to be able to stun the defender making his attack very pump intensive and if you lose the war to a defensive plot twist yer screwed.. 3) doing it every turn means keeping dr light instead of your 4 drop (if both get stunned) not saying deadeye and dr light isn't a cool combo-ish type of deal just that it's in no way a lock like the hounds can dish out
If you hit it early, you remove their 2-drop and their 3-drop (CC giving Dead-Eye an ATK of 7). From then on up, you can bring out Dr. Ub'x and/or Fatality and keep killing someone every turn. It's not as simple a lock as with the Hounds, but it's doable. Also, in GA, Dr. Light can even toss a copy into play for you to increase the fun.
An early chopping block can also hamper an opponent's board development pretty well too. Plus you can easily search for the bugger (with Kyle) unlike the war wagon. :)
problem with chopping block just like war wagon is they usually go for that character first when it's their initiative... and you usually don't want to recover that character (if you played it early) because yoiu want to keep your biggest drop
