They banned Overload!!! And they corrected Rama-Tut!!! Bwahahahahaha!!!!!!!! I can foresee a shift in the balance of power. I wonder what new things will come out of this most joyous of news... ^_^
Yeah i cant wait, TNB and Titans will rule all... until they ban roy and TNB after they get too strong, whats to be happy about? now that they started banning, whats gonna stop them from banning other cards?
Oh so now UDE's gonna ban Roy Harper <> Arsenal? I didn't think he was that broken in TT. I know he can get pretty big.
If it comes down to it, If Roy Harper becomes broken they will errata him so I doubt he'll get banned. Banning cards is UDE's last resort to a very bad situation and they rarely ever ban cards.
Trust me they don't like banning cards and most of the time they would errata the card instead.
Overload IMO was reasonable to ban due to the synergy it had with Savage Beatdown and Nasty Surprise.
Believe me if titans start dominating there are enough complainers on this sight alone to ban anything, but i know that UDE has its eye on another card... J. Jonah Jamison!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I dont believe that JJJ was put only as a flavor card. It's not actually not used at all. And CSJ is right. UDE will only ban in the most extreme conditions. They cant ban Roy because he only works in a particular affiliation; or if you play team up with TT, you'd be hard-pressed to pull it off. And TNB cant be banned considering that there are a variety of ways to take that out (i.e. Foiled, HAB, Breaking Ground) Overload was probably banned due to its overuse. UDE wants players who are versatile in their choices of cards. Not keep on using the same card over and over again for the next few years. It's just a way to encourage a newer meta into the field. And please, never call ahyone d***, unless they did something that is actually d***. Ok? ^_^
hehehe. I guess they'll listen to you more now, huh? I'm playing Spider-Clones for Golden Age. I never stopped loving that affiliation. And with the new 4 drop and the rumored 6 drop Spidey, I might actually get to use the deck and play it in GA. ^_^ Plus, the errata on the 2 drop Scarlet Spidey!!! Yeah!
By the way, my fave SF specific card is ESU Science Lab. ^_^ That'll be my answer for Brotherhood decks and a few Unmaskeds or something. Nice Try and Fun & Games will be used against Titans. I'll probably put in 1 or 2 Daily Bugles and name those Titans he needs on board (i.e. Roy, Tim, Red, Garth) I'm ready and psyched with whatever is going to happen in the future of Phillippine Meta. ^_^
I'll try Blue Abuse in Golden Age myself, though I do have a decent version of My Beloved and an under-construction GLEE stall deck. So many good decks will hit the field now... it's just too good to be true... :)
Because you wouldn't just have to errata beatdown and surprise. You'd have to errata mega-blast, and flying kick and more, and it would affect every single pump card they print for the rest of the life of versus.
one card is not worth the errata of dozens of them now, and many more in the future.
What's more, it would also invalidate the actual game text on thousands of cards people use every day, and make it harder for new players who won't the day they pick up their first boosters, think to check the OCR for rules updates.
I disagree. TNB can be beaten easy enough by any number of decks. For that matter, Titans isn't exactly going to beat the crap out of Sentinels now that overload is gone.
What it's done, is brought the game back to beign about character combat, not about gimmickery.
Yeah, I have to agree there. The games I play that are "I-smash-my-guy-into-your-guy" are much more fun then "I'm-gonna-take-15-minutes-building-a-wall-of-defense-with-my-tricks-and-do-it-again-next-turn"
hahahaha! I know. Have you ever tried playing New School? My head hurt just playing it. I won, but it came with a price. A migraine.
TNB ruling? I don't think so. Teen Titans have been tier 1 for having an over-pumped char but, overload didnt stop them. Isn't the game of TNB overpumping? Clearly, there is something else that is making TNB not that good. I myself haven't been a big fan of any Brotherhood deck.
There are a lot of cards that can stop any Brotherhood deck. Especially TNB (ie. Total Anarchy for the 3drops down, Foiled, HAB, Latverian Embassy... the list goes on)
^_^
Me? I'm playing a Spider-Clones deck and a Blue Abuse deck for Golden Age. ^_^
