Now if I have an Electro on the board and equip him with a Titanium sword When I stun their character using Electro's ability do they also take the extra 3 EL from the sword as well?
Please post answers with the place in the Comp Rules that I can read for myself, I have been over them like a hundred times but I am not quite sure what I am looking for.
vcws is correct. This is because Electro, the equipped character, is considered to have stunned the character, thus triggering Titanium Sword's triggered power.
The revelant rules would be as follows:
702.4 An object has stunned a character if the object was the source of a modifier that stunned the character. No rule prevents a character from stunning itself.
502.1 Triggered powers are identified by the words "at," "when," or "whenever." Triggered powers wait for their trigger conditions to be met either by an event in the game or by the state of the game, at which point they trigger. Triggered powers generate triggered effects on the chain. "At random" does not denote a triggered power.
gambit2816: That would be correct. Firestar would have been considered to stun each of your opponents characters (with cost 2 or less), and Titanium Sword attachd to her will trigger on every occurance.

I think slowmail's "opinion" is more like a ruling. Dude knows his stuff. He even cited the specific rule from the Comprehensive Rules that makes all "opinions" moot. It is decidely so.
I'm generally pretty easy going, if I had a problem with the ruling I would have offered an alternate interrpretation of a ruling. In this case wow means, "Holy Crap that's a strong use of Titanium Sword!!!! I think I just messed myself." That's all it means.
502.2 Triggered powers that are triggered by an event in the game are called event-triggered powers and generate event-triggered effects on the chain. An event trigger will trigger on every instance of the event happening, including multiple events matching the trigger condition simultaneously.
i thought that effects like Titanium Sword only triggered when the character stunned a character during an attack resolution. i was under the impression that stunning by means of an effect doesn't trigger something like this.
Essentially. The fact is that the rule for 'stunning' a character means that any method by which a character, whether by attacking or using an effect on it, stuns another character will trigger any effects which trigger on that character causing another character to be stunned. Firestar with the Titanium Sword is one example of this. Another includes having Roy Harper or Sinestro (GL 6) equipped and teamed up with the Gotham Knights while Babs as Batgirl is around; each auto-stun effect generates a card draw effect for you. ^_^
