When can we expect a Justice League of America card update for online play?

maybe a week before the set release or the same day

booo... some of us play a 10k with these cards this weekend :(

JLA isn't legal till December 1st.

Justice League Dec 1st? Not what I heard. The preview tourneys were last weekend and they're supposed to release the set in the next two weeks (by Nov 15th).

Yeah there's a difference between a set being released and a set being legal for tournament play. So even though the set will be released in the week of the 15th, the set won't be tournament legal until December 1st.

Sealed legality is different that constructed legality. New sets are legal for sealed play starting as of the Sneak Peek. WW:T is a sealed 10K.

Constructed legality for a new set is generally about 2 weeks after the set release, which is usually the first day of the next month.

That being said, as usual, we won't release an OCTGN patch for JLA until the release date of the set. This is out of professional courtesy to UDE for allowing us to continue with the project.

Yeah, if you look back, I was just interested in when we might see the update to Octagon for online play with the JLA card set. But it's interesting to hear about the delay before they're tournament legal. Why do you think that is?

Don't count on VSed being available right when the street legal date occurs either. I plan on reworking the database (mainly due to the two teams thing), so it might be a week or two after street date before you see VSed.

that is not hard to do.. just add the second team to the database.. and when Vsed search for the character, just have to check in both field.

Not really approved, more like tolerate (because they recognize that it's something that is needed for all the remote players out there), at least if/until they have their own version like MTGO or whatever.

someone told me there was an announcement at one point that UDE had contracted Leaping Lizard to do their online game.. that true?

I never said it was hard. Just alot of places this affects.
