I see a lot of requests and speculation about upcoming sets and teams. One team that doesn't seem to get a lot of love is the Legion. Any fans out there?

Personally I want to see an 8 drop Mon'El in the future!

Oh man...5 Drop Brainy, and 6 Drop Cos, both with leader abilities! 7 Drop Lightning Lad!!!

I'll put it to you like this: I've got my girlfriend wearing my silver replica flight ring. I am all about the Legion.

I have a friend who is the biggest Legion fan in the world. No doubt. He collects every single appearance of them. Ever. His hero is cosmic boy. I told him how another friend of mine suggested that after JSA there wouldn't be any more big teams to do in VS and he freaked! What about Legion! he protested! I was never a fan until Mark Waid's new run which has been amazing and some of the best reading I've seen in awhile. I would love them as a set!

Cos has been my favourite character since I was about 3 and learned to read "because" of him.

Considering I still pout that he was supposed to be in the 3rd DC "set" for Overpower, I'll curse the fates if he doesn't make it into VS as well.

I have another really old one, a Mordru one, I'll find it.

The first one actually had a funny little bit in it that gave future Legion writers a ton of grief - it had Element Lad changing compounds and not just elements. :) (In this case, diamond to coal :) ).

The post-ZH Bizarro Legion stories weren't half-bad except being it was the real LSH'ers turned into Bizarros, well, it meant we didn't get to keep the BLSH afterwards. :(

And everyone should read the original Fatal Five stories if only for their status on comic book history (a hero from the main team - a "safe" character - dies?!?). Sure, Bucky had "died" prior to that but it was off-screen and decades after he'd last appeared in a comic. And, up until the Zero Hour reboot, Ferro Lad actually stayed dead. I'll give the Legion credit - pretty much other than Lightning Lad, when they kill a hero he stays dead (e.g.: Chemical King, Karate Kid, Pol, etc. pre-ZH; Gim, Monstress, Jan, etc. post-ZH).

Hmm...a VS Brainy that's a HAB (or maybe Fizzle)-on-a-stick and another version that activates to raise DEF for teammates?

A Kono that steals Equipment when she comes into play?

Nemesis Kid whos' stats change at "combat resolution" to be one ATK and one DEF higher than the attacking/defending character (which basically means you have to team attack him which was always his weakness)?

Yeah, I'm up for a LSH set - or better yet make it "The Past and the Future" and have one team JSA and the other LSH. :)

I don't know anything about these guys... I just know that they appeared in heroclix and I loved them... It would be nice to have them in VS... at least as a Fearsome 5 like team...

I always love trying to think about how they'd represent Ultra Boy. This would be the ultimate easy curve team since there are so many characters with different power levels.

7- Element Lad, Ultra Boy, Kid Quantum
8- Mon'El

And this is just the tip of the iceberg with these guys.

Yes indeed, that truly blows. Hopefully in the new Legion continuity, the Bizarro Legion will be imperfect duplicates like they're supposed to be.

And I want a Legion of Substitute Heroes =)=)

Then you could have titans like Polar Boy and Chlorophyll Kid! You know an Infectious Lass could probably have an awesome exhaust your opponents ability.
