My local shop wanted to try and run official games and get prize support for us. What would he need to do? Is there a set number of players that are needed to run official events? Right now only 4 of us get together every week to play but I am sure once he holds official games more players will come. If it is too much to type can you provide a link of what I need to know?
Well, have you tried the upperdeckentertainment site? Not being sarcastic or anything, seriously, prolly al the information is there or at the UDE Store
The Upper Deck site has information (better than I could say) about the Hobby League. It is an amazing resource for stores looking to hold events.
EDIT: Found it in 5 seconds, actually! Check it out here, your store owner will need to reach out to the contact to verify a storefront in order to sign up.
Yes I did look but there was so much different information that I couldn't determine what was needed. There was info for pro circuit and hobby league but I don't know which one is for us, or really what the difference is. We are fairly new to the game. Just looking for someone to set us on the right path.
Note* To take any of our tests, or participate in *sanctioned* events, you must have a 9-digit UDE Membership #.
If you do not have one, please email [email protected] and request a #.
To have your store run Hobby League events, the store must apply to be a Hobby Gaming account. You will find all information for this at www.ude.com/tournamentstore
If after this, you have further questions, please email me privately at [email protected]
Andy: I have a UDE #, which I got at the end of October, but I haven't gotten anything in my email about an account online. I very rarely go to a hobby league or PCQ because of distance, but I want to be able to start up a hobby league in my area. How can I get an account if I haven't gotten any information on it after 1-2 weeks of having my UDE#?
Our online system, which includes player access to UDE Membership account information, keys off of your email address.
If, when filling out your UDE Membership # form, your email address was illegible, or wrong, or blank, you will not be able to access your account info.
Earlier this year, we discovered a glitch where if you had given us 2 email addresses, neither would appear viable in our system. This meant that even if they were correct, you wouldn’t receive your password, and be able to access your online information.
That was corrected of course, so we’re left with an invalid, illegible, or absent email address, being the most common cause of you (the players) not being able to log in.
Easy solution:
Send an email to [email protected] with UDE membership info update in the subject line. Include in this email, you correct information (UDE #, Full name, full mailing address, phone, email, date of birth) and we will update your account. When we do this, the system will automatically send your password to your primary email address.
With a valid UDE # and password, you will have unfettered access to your account information.
If this doesn’t solve the problem, or you have another, unique situation, please contact myself at [email protected] or UDE at the above address and let us know what’s up.
BTW – Does anyone know if Triangle is on drugs, or just bent? ;-)
