If Mike wins the pro circuit he will have a strong claim on best current player in the game I think. Even if he doesn't, three PC top 8's will be a feat unrivalled and surely make him the most consistent player at major events.

I said that after Indy, and I don't think he needs to win this to assure it.

Not only does he regularly top 8 PC's but this is potentially the third time he's finished a whole win ahead of the rest of the field. Actually that's not true, he was two wins in front at the end of Amsterdam.

Okay, it's morning. Last night was rather wild and now the brain is a bit clearer.

Tim's Top 8 decklist article is fabulous, and it indeed indentifies our world traveller as a Canuck. So, we have one Canadian, two Germans, and five Americans. (How many from the West Coast?) It'll be tough with the match-ups but we might have a non-American champion by the end of the day.
