The amount of articles, comments, and hype about the power and near-brokenness of this card plauged Vs. sites everywhere. Now at the end of the PC NTZ is almost a no-show and it had hardly any impact whatsoever.
NTZ is the most overhyped card, certainly. But the most overrated card is still probably Savage Beatdown. SB is amazing, don't get me wrong, but people seem to think you should have 4 in every single solitary deck except combo/stall decks. That is so utterly not true, there are often better cards for various strategies that get passed up for SB, when the utility of certain cards (like Flying Kick in Brotherhood, as an example) fit a deck better than SB's raw ATK pump.
Savage Beatdown is like friggin Wolverine, its the best at what it does. Maybe combat is overrated?
Null Time Zone is interesting. It's effect is certainly felt, it cost Dean Sohnle a game when he couldnt CR on the turn he wanted. It's useful in a variety of matches too/
I think the problem with NTZ is it's reactive. If the metagame were stale it would rock booty, but in an uncertain one (especially one where the focus is combat/rush), its effectiveness is very limited.
It's definitely overhyped, but I think if not many people played it in LA, then around now it's _under_rated.
The two times I saw it played it delayed the game long enough for a win and made the other match reeeally damn close that would have ended the turn NTZ was played otherwise. Like 3 endurence close versus a 20 point blowout. You just have to know how to use it properly. I wouldn't ever run Child Lock decks without it, for one.

Of course. Even combo and stall decks need Beatdown.
i agree with savage beatdown at least to the aspect of playing it in decks where not every character has flight and range as i dont even have one copy in my new brotherhood deck +5 atk doesent help when your opponet can reinforce.
however is decks like curve where all characters have flight and range already it is worth its weight in gold
I haven't seen NTZ played a lot. I dno't really like it myself. it relies too much on guess work. don't get me wrong, it is a totaly awesome card. it just needs a lot of luck.
Noo the most overhyped card in history is definatly. Blind Sided. Everyone thought it would end everything. I accually watch people build skrull decks around it. Horrifying.
But the most overated card. Hmm Well truely Overload is card disadvantage. NTZ requires to much skill to be played correctly. BUt Savage Beatdown is in a class of its own.
Honestly would this card even have been played as much as it was if Overload wasnt printed.
NTZ may very well be overrated but it had a profound effect on the whole GA environment. Staple decks that relied on key cards got scared of being owned by it and it forced people to start thinking outside the box. It probably was the most important card ever printed in VS.
SB is more overhyped then overrated. It's the kind of card that is good when certain decktypes are dominating and bad when others are. At this time the faster deck tend to shy away from it due to it's drop cost. Deck that play a longer game can put it to better use though. In either case it's not an essentially card to win any major tournament. There are plaenty of cards that either approach or exceed its power level.
