i'm new but know most of the rules can someone hep me please
i'm new and was checking out some of the man of steel booster cards and noticed some have something called cosmic what is it and what characters are good to start off building decks around when your first starting?
location cards i know about where to place them and u get a resoure for everyone but in the tutorial they were put face down when can u use the effect and will you loose the resource after using them?
thanks for reading if u have a minute and know the awsers to my questions i would really apreciate you answering them and yes i have gone through the tutorial and i have read up on the rules, but i still need some helo getting started
707.8 “Cosmic” is a keyword on character cards that represents a continuous
power that functions in the in-play zone and a one-shot modifier that modifies
how the character comes into play. Cosmic and cosmic counters have special
rules that apply only to them and not to counters that have other names.
707.8a The phrase “Cosmic: <text>” means, “While this character has a
cosmic counter on it, it has <text> in addition to any other text it has.” If
the character does not have a cosmic counter on it, it does not have
<text> in addition to its other text.
707.8b A character with cosmic comes into play with a cosmic counter on it.
707.8c As a character becomes stunned, remove all cosmic counters from it.
707.8d A character can’t have more than one cosmic counter on it at a time.
Example: Parasite reads, “Whenever Parasite stuns a character, put a
cosmic counter on Parasite.” If Parasite already has a cosmic counter,
this power will do nothing when it resolves.
707.8e A character that doesn’t have cosmic can’t have any cosmic counters
on it.
707.8f Stunned characters can’t have cosmic counters.
and for Locations, you dont loose the resource when you flip them (unless you already have another location with the same name already face up in your row, but then it is the Location that is already flipped that gets placed in the KO'd pile[note that this is differant than KOing the location, nit picky i know, but is differant none the less], unless the Location says it is not unique [see Metropolis])
no special way to summon them, just put them in play like any other character. When they come into play they get a cosmic counter on them which triggers their cosmic abilities. When they get stunned they lose their cosmic counter.
Locations count as a resource point whthere they are face up or face down and you can flip them anytime you can meet their threshold cost.
Not really sure what the best type to get started is. I think the best thing to do is just pick a team/character you like and then build a deck around them. Thats what I did when I first got started(about a month or so ago)
both plot twists and locations have threshold costs. the number in the top left corner of those cards show its threshold cost. in order to play a plot twist or flip a location, you must have a number of resources equal to or greater then the threshold cost of that card. in other words, if you wanted to play a plot twist or location with a threshold cost of 2, you have to have at least 2 resources in play. remember, if the card you want to play is in your resource row, it counts towards its own threshold cost.
if you are looking for a good deck to start off with, you should try a Squadron Supreme deck. it is a very good deck right now and is also very cheap to build because it is made of mostly common and uncommon cards.
also note that plot twists and locations do not use resource points to play. that is a very common mistake by newer players. (i am guilty of that myself)
thank you guys so much it has really helped me get started i'm gonna get a starter deck to start with then after that i'm going to try an build a deck around a characer i like i eventually find one i like lol

So let's say you're on drop seven, during your attack phase, and you use your savage land to boost pyro to a 9 attack, can you then flip another savage land, and add another plus 6 to the attack, since the first location goes to the ko'd pile? And are you permanently down a resource at this point? Might be worth it to have a 15 attack pyro, he would hit many 7 drops.
yes that works. and yes you would perminently be down a resource. most games are usually over by turn 7 though unless you or your opponent are playing a stall deck.
when you have three locations down and you actiavte one of them with a 3 thesthold cost dose it stay on the field and still count as a resourse and also how long do you get the effect also if one says draw a card dose that mean draw one when you activate it or once per turn or somethen
when you flip a location (or plot twist) it stays in your resource row. as for how long the effect lasts, well that depends on the effect. some examples. (i'll use LoA stuff since they have a plethora of Locations)
-Lazerus Pit has 2 payment powers and a continueus modifyer. "activate --> Target stunned LoA character cannot be KO'd this turn" and "KO Lazerus Pit --> Recover target stunned LoA character" you can use either of these effect when ever you can pay the costs. Note that you go down a ressource when you use the Recover effect. you dont get to put another card into your resource row. and "Lazerus Pit is not Unique" this allows you to have Multiple Laz Pits face up at one time
-Mountain Stronghold has a one shot effect and 2 continous Modifiers. When you flip MS you get to search for a LoA character, then Shuffle your Deck, then Discard a LoA character. Also "MS is not Unique" allowing you to have more than one face up at a time. and "Characters you control named Ra's Al Ghul are reinforced (or are reinforced while defending, i dont remember which)" this ability is always on while MS is face up.
can someone send me a link to a place that has the currecnt bann/restricted list cause i can't find it someone tried to list it here but it was to big for his reply to hold
