After a few problems, The Fallout Shelter is now available through Itunes!
Just go to the podcast section of Itunes and do a search for "The Fallout Shelter" and subscribe to the podcast. The podcast should also be available for download on the front page of the site in my signature by the end of the day.
In the first episode Paul and I introduce ourselves and talk about a wide range of VS stuff, including Hans Ho's DQ.
First you have to go to the podcast section of the music store. Then you can seach for the show in the search bar on the left hand side that lets you search all podcastes or you can look in "arts & Entertainment" then "Games" through the browse function. The shows are displayed in alphabetical order in the browse window.
Unfortunatly you can't link to things inside the itunes store.
I could not get it to download either, got a message "the network connection timed out". I use iTunes for a lot of podcasts, so everything on my end is set op right.
You do need to set up an Itunes account to download the show, but the show is free. Itunes itself does not cost anything. You can download the program and set up an account for free. There is only a charge when you download songs that require a payment.
You also do not need an Ipod. Itunes is also a very good MP3 player. You use that to download and play the show.
As for the network timeout, I have no clue, I have not recieved any word that the bandwith has been exceeded.
I will be talking to my webmaster today. Hopefully the show will be on the frontpage of our site this afternoon.
If you get a network timeout, keep trying. It should work, it seems that my webhost is having a few hiccups.
Also the show should be on the frontpage of my site by 4:00 today. It will be a direct MP3 download. A warning to all dial-up users, the file is about 53 megs or so.
