I was wondering if this has been errata'd or not (I can't access the UDE page from here). 4-drop Storm is the weirdest version of her EVER.

1) She's not a mutant... Huh? Was there a storyline where she lost her powers? I thought she had them when she led the Morlocks.

2) No flight or ranged? Like above. Did she lose her powers at that time? I know you don't fly much in the sewers, but that shouldn't mean she loses it altogether. Come to think about it, she'd probably fly more just to make sure she didn't have to step in... sewage.

Am I missing something?

Yes, she did lose her powers for a time and this version is accurate

Why yes she did!

The Government (specifically Forge) developed a Mutant Neutralizer, which would remove powers from any mutant. It was going to be used against Rogue (believed to be a terrorist by the Gov't, since she had been seen working with the Brotherhood).

Forge tried to stop Gyrich from shooting Rogue by slamming into him, Storm tried to throw Rogue out of the way, and got hit by the blast and lost her powers.

She was even leader of the X-men without them!

Same answer. She was completely powerless.

Mohawk no-power Storm even beat up Stonewall, Silver Sable and Crimson Commando. Take that evil WWII heroes. Think your service to our nation will stop Storm? She's from Africa! Up yours freedom enablers, boot to the head! Vets receive no quarter from the X-men! In the next issues Storm goes to the VA hospital and unplugs a bunch of machines. She is a mean-spirited soldier hater.

Forget those guys, she beat Cyclops to determine who should lead the X-men while powerless.

she also won the MvC2 tournament with a Sentinel and Captain Cammando!

I think that this was actually a period in comicbook history, when Storm was secretly in love with Mr T. and tried to emulate him in every way.

To this end, she went to lead the Morlocks, so she could pity the fools.

But Mr T. found out and took Storms powers as punishment.


Then he pitied her.

cyclops did indeed lose, but only due to mental manipulation by his wife at the time, madylen prior.

she was worried that cyclops was drawing away from her, and wanted to seperate him from the x-men so that she could have him to herself, so she directly interfered inthe fight to help storm win, thereby forcing cyclops to leave the x-men and move to alaska with her.

this of course worked until he found out that jean grey was alive and well, he then became a dead-beat dad, leaving his wife and infant son, cable.

but luckily his brother havok was there to help comfort the distraught wife.. in more ways than one.

It's like a bad soap-opera.

I so don't remember that, but it has been awhile since I read those issues, anyways she really just screwed him by taking off his visor. Since your the expert Cyke at what point did Storm become a vampire, or am I imagining that?
