i was looking on the board and saw somewhere they were advertising a tournament as city champs, this got me to thinking. does ude have plans to do like magic and hold state championships and/or a regionals tournament?

i think that this would be a wonderful idea. for some reason in my area states and regionals bring out more casual players than the ptqs that wizards offers. i think that it may do the same with vs which would be great to gather more people into this great game.

what does everyone think of this idea?d

City Championships are only in the UK. And they're taking taking the place of our constructed PCQs.

I highly doubt they'll lead to nationals although it would be nice if this was the case.

i just think that it would be a great idea and be a tournament bigger than a pcq that would be closer to home for everyone.

Umm...except that the City Champs are much lower level than PCQ's....

Lower K-Value, No PC points, crap prizes (that get worse every week!)....I think you have got the wrong idea about what these are...

i understand that. what i am saying is i would love to see it evolve like magic. meaning state championships and regional tournaments just like magic.
