I am saddened by some of the artwork on MXM. Exodus is my most favorite mutant. He's one of the strongest mutants but the art done for him doesn't do him any justice. He looks like he's sighing while imagining the good ol' days. It seems like the background on Henrietta Hunter should've been for his card.

Some of the Morlocks look like Pokemon, while the Hellions look like Dali paintings (Why does Proudstar look like he's saying "THIS TREE IS MINE!!!"?). Magneto, Black Lord looks like Beaker from the Muppet Show. Dark Phoenix and Rachel Summers don't look 8-droppy enough.

Don't get me wrong. This set also has good art like Go Down Fighting and Kang, Scarlet Centurion, but previous sets have better art as a whole.

I hope the Heralds set has better art. I'd hate to see Galactus look like Tarbaby.

Threads with dumb, confusing titles get more traffic, as people actually have to read them to know they're dumb, instead of being able to judge from the main forum page.

True, the Morlocks do look kinda like pokemon, but I think that Tar Baby & Leech still look pretty cool.

BTW: Mutant Massacre's art is pretty good.

Besides Mutant Massacre and maybe a few other select cards (Phoenix Rising being another) I'm not a big fan of the artwork from MXM either. I haven't been since I saw the cards on the sneak preview. The first thing out of my mouth when I walked around judging that day and saw the cards that people were playing was "The artwork in this set sure is cartoonie..." I really don't think it does much justice to the characters either, the two Phoenix cards especially, neither one IMO actually showcased either Jean Grey or Rachel Summers like they should have been as the Phoenix.
