I wanted to be sure about some chains character effects and total anarchy vs the alley. these are my questions
we all know healer the question is when i pay the resource point when do i target the character that is about to recover. at the recovery phase or when y pay the resource because he says
Pay 1 resource point >>> At the start of the recovery phase this turn, recover target character you control. Use this power only once per turn.
and the other question is
i got my character stunned o i evaded my character in response my oponent play total anarchy and i activate the alley. do my characters get ko or stay stunned? if i activate the alley when the combat face start and i evade a character do they get ko?
i ask this because in a post of morlocs a guy said that the alley prevent that so i ask a friend of my nd he say that it only protects those characters that were alredy stunned during the activation.
1) If an effect has target in the wording of the effect, you must choose the target when you pay the cost. You have to pick Healer's target at the time you pay the resource point.
2) The Alley reads:
Activate >>> Stunned characters you control cannot be KO'd by effects your opponents control during the combat phase this turn.
In Vs, Cannot beats can everytime. Total Anarchy creates a continuous effect that tries to KO 3 drops or lower whenever they are stunned. The Alley creates an effect that says "stunned characters you control cannot be KO'd by effects your opponents control. The Alley Trumps Total Anarch UNTIL the recovery phase. As long as you don't stun anybody during the recovery phase (for some kind of evasion trick) you will be OK.
ja thankx that thing about the alley is good news maybe they are no toooooooooooo dead in golden meta but the cards that removes from play still break all strategies and plot twist like last stand, shrapnel blast and morlok justice if u run it
I think I know why your friend was coming to the (mistaken) conclusion he did.
If an effect is modifying certain aspects of a character, called qualities, then they lock in who is affected when they resolve. Some examples are ATK, DEF, flight, and range, or the full list of qualities can be found in the glossary section of UDE's Comp. Rules Document, for easy access.*
If a quality isn't being modified, then we're actually modifying the rules of the game. Here, the cards affected can change throughout the turn. Since The Alley doesn't modify any qualities, any stunned characters you control during the turn are protected, no matter when they actually got stunned.
Basically, The Alley isn't tinkering with each stunned character, making them individually unKOable. It's changing the rules of the game so that it's impossible to KO stunned characters on your side of the field.
