I was curious what the community thinks is the best team out there from the new set.
You can only use cards from the new set only so with that given who has the best deck straight from only the X-Men set?
I have not made an X-Men from the new set, but I have made Morlocks and HFC and my buddy made BH. I have found that morlocks so far have the best potential. I know most of you are running specific mutant traits and so on but just entertain the realms community adn give ur input!
Honestly, i think that either B-Hood or a trait based deck are the best decks if you are only useing cards from the X-Men set, one KO effect and your Morlocks are in trouble. that and Anne-Marie Cortez owns Morlocks
Morlocks Evasion is really good. And if it gets a good hand, it's set. Tar baby and Leech own control decks sooooo much. Healer is a nice wall to have on turn 3. TOmmy is a free character in most cases. on turn five with a backs against the wall, marrow and some characters the game is almost locked. Next turn you drop Scaleface and deal out masive damage.
Before i get ahead of myself i'm willing to admit that i dont know a lot about the xmen set but from the looks of things, agro needs to hurt them early to stand any kind of chance. My control match ups w/ the deck consist of child lock and GLOCK. In which the deck did surprisingly well. A lot better then what i was hoping.

i'd say morlocks is prob best team if you just use cards from x-men but how do you get morlocks to beat child lock :/. you have no way to get around lock cept scaleface and they will prob kill you by then or have a way to deal with him (justice can just be fizzled so going all out on 1 attack isnt exactly the smartest thing ever)
well Tar baby makes Dr. Light and the infinate Child lock useless. Leech stops Melissa Gold or a Flamethrower each turn which saves you a lot of damage. sure they can child 4 times by digging it out but it causes to much effort toward that and not enough on doing damage. By then turn 6 rolls around and heres Scaleface to ruin their day.
GLOCK was kind of a similar deal but cover fires and helping hands prevented me from killing it on turn 6 and 7. turn 8 i was able to use APe for the win.
All of the new teams try to cover the keys to making srong teams. Recovery Effects, Character Tutor, other searches, etc....
But in open match-ups, Hellfire has some tricks up it's sleeve that are really ahrd to contend with. Barring anti-hidden tech, you are telling your opponent exactly who they can and can not hit on your field, and in what order. Not only that, you get bonuses for isolating that target.
In golden, and the 'Child Lock' scenario, Hellfire has silver bullets for most decks, and character and plot tutors to go and get them.
They will rise once people get more used to their combos. they are NOT easy to play. But once people figure out their subtle tricks, they should really become a powerhouse.
I like the brotherhood with splashes as a energy/mental trait based deck. I've soured a bit on morlocks. Hellfire I haven't had a chance really to play with or against that much.
Hellfire Club is really good against a long curve deck like Avengers but isn't that great against early win type decks. Brotherhood Reservist is pretty good too.

lock doesnt need to rely on dr light its just gives them alot better board and more tricks which usually arnt even needed against most decks. on turn 6 you might have scaleface but chances are they have roy or dr light or something to auto win vs your 0 tricks. and roy + dr + wagon kills ppl quite fast :[
