THE DIVIDED.... WHICH IS BETTER MAGIC THE GATHERING OR VS SYSTEM ??
AS I KNOW WE VS PLAYERS ARE OUTNUMBERED BY THE MAGIC FANATICS.
WHAT IS WITH MAGIC TODAY THAT MANY PLAYERS ARE STILL STICKING THEIR CASH TO IT??? I MEAN IT IS LIKE THIS WHY YOU HAVE TO SPEND $ 60 FOR
4 PIECES OF DUAL LANDS AND THEN END UP NOT MAKING A REALLY GUD DECK..

BUT IN THE VS SYSTEM WE HAVE THE SQUADRON DECK "THE CHEAPEST DECK THAT EVER WON A 10K OR PC TOURNAMENT" here in the philippines if you are going to make a squadron deck you to spend an estimated amount of 800 pesos .. hell that 800 pesos gives you the smiles of totally satisfaction play unlike magic my god!!!!!!! u have spend as much 300$ plus what the hell mana screw??? screw magic

If you post on a VS website asking what game is better VS or another what do you think the responses are going to be?

Notice the Philipino started with block letters and then suddenly changed to small letters and the block letters are for Magic and small letters are for VS. (Although there is a minority of blocks on VS) I guess he is rather frustrated (like his nick says) with Magic.

Back to the question, Magic is fun and so is VS. Different players have different taste although I prefer VS. :)

In the strictest sense, I do believe that Magic is the better game.

But Magic is also a far less rewarding game in more ways then one. My biggest gripe with Magic is that it's way too hard to be 'average' caliber player in Magic, simply because so many of your "average" players have been playing for much longer and have things like MTGO.
Believe or not MTGO makes a huge difference in play skill, and introduces another level in the "war of the wallets." For these reasons, I think that VS is the better and more worthwhile game to play.

Though I'm certain that if your name is Jon Finkel or Mark Rosewater you'll most likely disagree with me.

I guess to rephrase his question, since like it has been pointed out, it's kind of a biased forum we have here.

Why do you guys play VS as opposed to Magic, and for those of you who play both, which do you like better?

And why is it, if everyone here thinks that VS is better, that people still stick to M:TG as opposed to VS? Is it because they are afraid to invest in a totally new game in fear that they won't like it?

Vince, I would never ever in a million years have guessed that the only reason you asked me how to register for realms was to ask that question. I was completely blindsided! No... worse than that... I was Morlock Justiced!

Then again, you've been asking me that question over and over again since forever so I guess I shouldn't be surprised?

Well fp, I share your enthusiasm about VS as a former Magic player - Nothin like playing a $200 deck and getting manascrewed in a big tourney :p.

That being said, my friends and I still get together for the occasional M:tG game. Of course, we proxy 90% of our cards to make things fair, but I think that still counts . Not needing to spend $80 for a playset of dual lands makes the game much more enjoyable :).

I was going to post something serious here, but the simple fact that Canamrock was cool enough to remember this game has made me forget even what the topic was.

XXXenophile was possibly one of the most enjoyable and strategic card games around, and easily the funniest.

I'm pretty sure the answer to this question is 42... I'm quite positive of that.
