My opponent plays any card that targets a character(reign of terror, mutant massacre etc)

In response can I flip yancy street then evade to essentially negate the targeted effect?

Also if my character is already stunned can I flip yancy street to negate the effect?

I posted this question awhuile ago and I was told its a legal play but I'm not sure how the chain would work. Help appreciated.

He plays whatever the card is and passes priority to you. You flip Yancy Street and, if necessary, evade your character while you have priority---you can do those in whichever order you'd like, it doesn't matter.

Your character is stunned immediately to pay evasion's cost, and Yancy Street's protection is immediately on-line for stunned characters, because it is a continuous power. After two passes, evasion's effect will resolve, setting up the later recovery, and after two more, the opponent's effect will be negated.
