We have discovered a problem with the registration system that was preventing "Confirmation Emails" from being sent; which meant that some of the members were not able to log in properly.

While we investigate this problem, all members that were in the "Awaiting Confirmation Email" status have been made full VSRealms members.

Additionally, due to the recent string of technical problems, RealmWorx has decided to move to different hosting solution. We will begin migrating *Realms this month, in hopes to be 100% in our "new home" by June 1, 2006.

In preperating for the move, VSRealms will be upgraded to become in line with our other communities. (Check out the new
CMGRealms.com for an example).

Upgrade. This was discussed a while back and one of the better bits of news from Typhon was that it was mostly functional upgrades and that VSRealms wouldn't end up looking like that pile of HTML over at HCRealms. :)

*sigh ... I spent most of the night researchign this, and it seems that members with a userid over 9999 are the ones having the biggest problem.

So ... I'm going to back up the database and file and do a dry run of the upgrade. Once I have it completely optimized I'll probably try to do the upgrade tomorrow.

Update: I'm going to do a "soft upgrade". This may render certain parts of the site "broken" (but I doubt it). Just a warning. LOL

Update: Upgrade is complete; didn't fix the problem. Gonna try something else.

Update: Powered though some code ... got everything fixed! Sorry about the problems guys. I'll make it up to the community this month ... some easy contest or something.

i can't see them either. and now instead of having the easy reply box at the bottome of the screen, i have to click "post reply". Dang workouts.

Post numbers are back. I'm trying not to work too much more on this version of the software because we're about to upgrade it to the final version (and I'm trying to get that ironed out). I'll try to get the quick reply working before I roll out to work though.

Yeah, I'll either bring it back, or upgrade the site then bring it back. It will definately be back though ... because we're planning a bunch of cool stuff to try and encourage people to donate more. :)
