Is the Indy Gencon Pro Circuit going to be DC Modern using Justice League and Infinite Crisis? I've been out of the game for a year and don't know whats going on. Thanks.

It's going to be Golden as far as I know the PC after that will be DC Modern with Crisis and Legion of Superheros

If they stay on schedule, it will be DCMA. Many of us have been planning on that. It is not official, and we will have to wait until next weekend. They usually announce that stuff at the preceding PC. San Fran will give us the scoop.

DCMA would be cool, but a Golden Age PC here in Indiana would be great!

Yeah, rumors have been been rampant for awhile about the PC at Indy maybe being Golden Age instead of DCMA. Of course not sure where those rumors started or if there is any validity in them. But as stu said, we'll find out next weekend in San Francisco. If you're going to be there then make sure you stay tuned to the Metagame coverage to find out if there is any change from the norm.

Isn't it more fixed that it will be dcma?

I was always told that it was a rotating fixed series, minus the new inclusion of silver age.

however, if august is seeing a new marvel release, maybe dcma should close the year with it's legion release...?

if Indy was GA i would pee my pants..even though the chances of me playing are slim..but still..i would still go just to see others peeing their pants in happiness...

It is a rotating series that they had planned, that's why I said it's the norm.

But I've been hearing rumors from somewhat credible sources that there may be talks of doing away with the whole Modern Age format altogether since it doesn't seem too popular with the player base.

Once again, I'm not sure if there are any truths to it or not, but I'm not leaning one way or the other as far as what I think it'll be since I have heard so many people tell me the exact same thing.

i would not like to get rid of the MA because they bring a challenge to teh table and they make you buy the new sets so u can compete...

I played in $10K Indy last year and it was DCMA, so a GA PC this year would be fun too. But either way I guess.

I'd be extremely disappointed if Indy wasn't DC modern (DJL & DCR). Many players I know have decided to skip Silver Age altogether and instead focus on preparing for PC Indy.

IMO, many of the complaints that players have with the current modern age formats could be lessened if the format 'season' was concluded with a PC rather than being started with a PC.

i dont live in Indiana, but i visit sometimes in new castle and muncie and metamora...we have churches in those cities so we go there sometimes and if im off work i might go with my buddies..they are preaching in New castle which is like 25 minutes from where GenCOn is so yeah...

I'm just happy to live outside Cincinnati. So I can make GenCon Indy in lesst than 2 hours.

Modern Age has been boring up till now beacuse the sets have been kinda weak. The JLA and Crisis sets are great, and would make a great environment.
