The link shows a list... of players with 10 or more PC points... or those that are invited for various other reasons. So if you don't get local PCQs, but Billy Joe Bob Bubba who dominated the sport of Tiddlywinks catches soemones eye, he may get the invite while you can't show up.
Ok ok, I am being a facetious here. But the structure is 10 PC points alone it seems. And invites form other games that aren't VS just seem kind of insulting to many players who don't have the same opportunities to qualify as those living in heavy PCQ areas.
Players with a rating of 2700, based on events happening before or on April 28, that do not already have an invite will receive a ratings based invite.
that was in the link mentioned about by my main man torch...its my understandign that the "deposit" 10 credits into your bank up until the PC...if you don't use them, you lose them kinda thing....I believe that is how it works...
You can get up to 50 points total, but will not gain any points from PCQs once you're above 20. (i.e. if you're at 18 and win a PCQ, you'll only go up to 20.)
That link was to a San Fran page. I believe it's still valid.. if you have over a 2700 rating, and less than 10 PC points, you can still get in. I'm pretty sure if you have over a 2700 rating and more than 10 PC points, it still eats the points, though.

I'd double check with UDE though.
That sounds accurate. The only other thing I would question is if they will raise the rating requirement for Indy. Maybe to 2750?
OK - That page was applicable to PC San Fran, wasn't it? That's why the date is in there.
Anyway. The only way you qualify for a PC is by "spending" 10 PC points to get in. However, you can get those points in a number of ways.
1st - you can earn them at large events (PCs, 10Ks, PCQs).
2nd - if your rating is 2700 or greater (for sealed and/or constructed) at the cutoff date and you don't already have 10 points, they temporarily credit you with 10 points. If you don't spend those points to enter the PC, then they deduct those points right back out again.
3rd - Qualify through an LCQ, and you get enough points to give you 10.
Anyway you cut it, you pay 10 points to play... Make sense?
Ohh that makes a lot more sence. Why would they credit you with 10 points temorarily though?
W/e. I only need like 100 more points to qualify. And here I was thinking Id have to get 7 more points till I get in. Unless I finish first thats around 2-3 months of work
