silly question...

i have nimrod with his repair counter, my opponent swings with a more powerful character, i remove counter and exhaust. no wi know i take no breakthrough, but my friend swears that i take the 5 for the cost and im saying no. can ne one clear this up for us?

i know this is extremely basic but i need the post to prove him wrong-thx

First, if your opponent's character's attack is larger than Nimrod's defense at attack conclusion you DO take breakthrough unless you can reinforce. But no, Nimrod never stuns so he takes no stun damage.

ah, thank you for clerifying im going to assume that wolverine-james howlet also takes the breakthrough but not the cost, i appreciate the help

Yes, if you swing and would get stunned back you can remove his counter, it is an effect.

Please remember that you don't have the choice in removing the counter, you must if he would become stunned.
