Okay, I was thinking about getting into X-Men comics but there are many different series to choose from. So what is worth reading? Somebody said that Ultimate X-Men is good and some have said that Uncanny X-Men is good. I can't afford to read both series, so if I could just hear some opinions as to why or why not that would be great.

If you can't afford both then get Ultimate

Mike Carey just started on an X-men run of his own that should be hot.

(I'm a fan of Carey's Vertigo works...)

But beyond that at this point outside of Astonishing Xmen (which is my favorite current run going on), Ultimate would probably be the easiest to get into (though not my personal preference).

If you are getting into X-Men read X-Men or Astonishing because those are the two best X-Men comics out right now in my personal opinion

So you guys think Astonishing X-Men is actually the better of the group?
