if my opp has kyle rayner (2) and g'nort, and plays ring has chosen and i control cardiac, and in response i stun kyle, can he still seach for a 3 drop?

The Ring Has Chosen specifically states you count the Willpower as you play it. Your opponent can search for a 3-drop because he controlled 3 Willpower as he played the card.

the RHC still works, because of the way it's worded, it checks how much willpower he has when he plays it, so even if you have responses to his playing of it, it checks back to when it was played.

This is why cards like dimming of the star heart sucked in dcma last indy, they did nothing to stop RHC.
