I trust nolan in his casting of the joker, some didn't think that bale would work as batman and he did a spectacular job in it. The title seems like a throw to the miller books.

The casting for The Joker is fine by me, it's actually the title of the movie I'm unhappy with. They should have gone with something that reflects the story a little more. The generic titles are getting too repetitive.

I found myself watching A Knight's Tale the other day and I've come to the conclusion that it is a very good choice for Joker. He has that seriousness about him but I can see him letting out a big cackle at the same time. What's the title of the movie? Is there a link to the Batman 2 movie site?

Heath Ledger I believe can play the Joker, and though I would've preferred Paul Bettany, I believe that Heath Ledger can be able to pull of the personified evil that the Joker needs to be able to pull off (even with the clown make-up).

Sounds like more than likely towards the end of the movie The Joker is going to be responsible for Harvey Dent's scarring that leads him to his turn as Two-face ;)

Agreed on both points. Heath Ledger is a very diverse actor. Maybe Bettany as The Riddler one day?

I think Joaquin Phoenix would have made a good Joker.

I think we owe Nolan some trust. It is not like its Joel at the healm. If Nolan says heath is great and needs to be the Joker I think we should stand by that until we at least see some clips of him in action

I'm actually unsure of who should play the Joker. Those are some big shoes to fill(yeah I know, floppy too.) Seriously, I hope that Heath Ledger can pull it off. One more point, did anyone else agree with the casting for the comic book movies on ign.com? Some of them are pretty on point.

Heath Ledger is a great actor. I've been impressed with how much he's grown as an actor since I first remember seeing him in The Patriot.

I'm fine with Ledger playing the Joker. It's a matter of how he plays him. The Joker should be a homicidal maniac that creeps people out. I think a lot of how Ledger will come across will depend on the director.

As for Two-Face, one of the neatest things about Two-Face was the friendship Bruce Wayne and Batman had with Harvey Dent. I hope they're able to develop that before Dent gets scarred.

But it wasn't even The Joker that scarred Harvey, so how do they work that in?

Pretty much Batman apprehending the Joker and during his trial (being tried by Harvey Dent), Joker sprays his "special" flower in Harvey's face.

Seems solid to me. ;)
