Is it rezlly necessary for UDE to wait this long? Previous PC checks would be out 5 weeks or so after the PC.
I mean, if thats the way it has to be, I'll accept that, but it would really be a nice service if they could process things a little sooner. "By the next PC" seems like a pretty arbitrary time frame. Either it takes 5 weeks, or it takes 10 weeks, or it takes a full 3 months. I find it hard to believe that the amount of time it takes to process is somehow dependent on how much time falls between the two PCs.
Its crazy to wait this long. They need to get the check thing under control. This is a prime reason why people didn't like checks for PCQ's. The checks take to long to show up.
the pcq payouts are good, they give u ur check money card right then and there and u can activate it,. I didn't make money at San Francisco, but having to wait for another PC to get ur money is just wrong, and not every1 can make it.
how am i supposed to pay for the trip to indy without my prize money from san fran. i guess its better not to have the prize money spent before u get it because of udes unpredictability of sending prize money.
No, he hasn't. Thankfully we weren't planning on attending Indy anyway, otherwise it could be quite inconvenient... Hopefully by the time we need to book flights for SoCal!
So latest word is that the checks are not going to be available in Indy either but will be mailed out sometime after. Personally I dont understand the process enough to know why they wont have the checks there (which is likely preventing two of my friends from going because of funds) but it seems fairly ridiculous on the amount of times for these latest checks.
Officially, no checks from PC: SF will be awarded until after the PC:Indy, so any players that need that money to go to Indy are out of luck. I have friends that had made plans to go, and now have to cancel those plans since UDE cannot accomplish the simple task of cutting 75 checks. This is simply unacceptable. That "other" company that runs a Pro Tour for a tcg routinely gets their checks out within 4-6 weeks. That the prizes for the PREVIOUS PC will not have been awarded by the time the next one is already over is completely absurd. The fact that there are now players that cannot go to the PC because of financial concerns over not getting the prizes that they won 8+ weeks ago is insane. I know multiple people that have, or are planning on calling UDE to complain. This is a definite black eye for UDE, this just looks bad and reflects very poorly on the company. If anyone needs the UDE customer service number it is:
1 (800) 873-7332
All I have to say, is this is very disappointing guys.
Thats definatly not a good thing. People having to miss Indy because their checks they won 3 months ago havn't yet been awarded.
Is there something I am missing. All UDE has to do is look at the list that shows what people got what place 75 and up, write down their names on checks, and send them out. Seems like it might take an day or two at the most, then mail will take a couple weeks...
I think someone from UDE needs to comment on this, and they need a excuse.
before we start lighting our torches and grabbing our pitchforks, we should ask ourselves, "why would UDE do this" there has to be a legit reason for it. now I still think what is going on is still a bad thing, but at least be open to the possibility that it isn't thier fault.
Sepharoth, that is why it would be nice for a UDE rep to comment, maybe the info we have heard is incorrect and we will be getting our checks in the mail this week, maybe we get them at Indy, but it would be nice to hear something from someone in an official capacity.
