OK, so has anyone heard any rumours about a forthcoming Master Challenge? So far, I think the new EU Op structure has worked out very well and seems to encouraging more players on a local level (at least around my way), but the promised top level events have not even been tentatively announced.
Upperdeck Europe, please give us some indication of your intentions. You cannot keep stringing us along like this.
I don't think thats fair Kamiza Ude Europe haven't been stringing us along.
That implies some level of contact with the player base. I think the current low lvl tourneys have attracted a few more casual players as you say. But to anyone remotely competetive they are little more than 'cute'.
Mc now before we reach a full calendar year between High Lvl tourneys in Europe!
i think it safe to say that the sturcture has been a complete failure up in manchester. not only has it killed a lot the players intrest in competative games but there are very few players intrested in the game all together.
but on another tune i would be intrested in a masters challange and so any news about the event would be nice but im not gunna get my hopes up
Well, I hear some people are happy that there are ToF tournaments in areas that before didn't have PCQ's. It's just that people don't know what to do with the PC points. ;)
And the Day of the Hero promos aren't interesting to most, except Jean Gray, Phoenix Force.
that is a large problem with it. the eas at the mo are not good enough imo to make me go to the event other than my local store, ufortunatly there even good enough for some to come to there local store either. things get in the way, its like shall i go?? for a ea nobody cards ,id rather do x.

Heh :)
I don't think it's any reflection on Ray Fong, and the UK staff, as they seem to be trying to do everything that they can.
Our local store in Luton has seen quite a few new people get into the game, and some that initially dropped it after the changes have now returned. Yes, the increase are very much in the casual-type of player, but every journey starts with a single step.
Anyway, Master Challenges. UDE EU - some info would be nice
After my last statement and being informed better (My last statement was based on Ray simply taking over from Gideon and not changing a thing) i'm going to say this.
UDE UK are simply puppets to UDE EU. They have minimal input into decisions about how the UK is run. UDE's problem is simple, they run a 1 way information system in which if you want to find something out from up the "food chain" it ain't gonna happen. From whoever is UDE CEO down to Average Joe six pack playing HL/DOTH it's impossible to get information.
And if you could Ray a simple update to say "You know nothing more than the 4 MC's between Germany and Britian each year" would be cool because we know where you stand now and we're 100% behind the UK office while your sat there with half a telephone which only recieves.
i dont think that ray is alloud to comment at this moment, thats what i herd any way, but you know what hear-say is like. i think i lot of the problems with ude in general is lack of info jus learn that they arnt goin to tell you anything ever.
I am not going to go on a Euro-rant in this thread. Instead, I would like to direct any interested player to a complaint thread I have started in the Dear UDE forum:
It covers UDE Europe's handling of the game over the past year, and I would dearly like to hear (on that thread) anyone's comments. There is also a poll attached should you wish to let UDE know your feelings without actually posting.
