Mini-teams are great fun, but I think alot of them need a few future legacy cards to make them more playable. So I'm asking for your help in thinking up new characters for current mini-teams. I've posted below what I could find, but I really need more help filling it out.
Negative Zone:
Now Negative Zone, as it is, is very playable. In fact, I'm planning on putting together an NZ team up deck as soon as HoG is purchasable.
I was trying to think up some card ideas that could be used to expand Negative Zone some more, when I realized ...
I've forgotten the names of practically everyone from the Negative Zone!
Damn you Mastermind!
Anyways, can anyone name some of the Negative Zone characters unrepresented in VS?
I seem to remember the Fantastic Four running into a bunch of superstitious pilgrims and one of them had a super-hero like name and carried a musket ... and then he went and talked to some kind of monkey-men that looked a bit like Blaastar. And doesn't Blaastar have like minions of some kind?
Fearsome Five:
I unfortunatley can't find any other character who isn't currently represented that could have the Fearsome Five team affiliation. Unless maybe they were infiltrated at some point, I think a character would either have to have a 2nd version, or the team is doomed to their current card pool of characters forever. That'd be a large shame, because indepently, the characters the Fearsome Five has are GREAT, they just don't really work together. Also, if they don't print a new Fearsome Five character in long enough, then doing a Fearsome5 Legacy card of *any* kind becomes more difficult.
Infinity Watch:
I DID, however, uncover a here-to unused Infinity Watch character, that I think would be worth adding as a legacy card.
Of course, that wikipedia entry really didn't give me any information, so I don't really know who he is, I just know that Inifinity Watch really needs something else playable besides Pip-The-Troll before it can really be considered for a team-up. Infinity Watch Thanos is decent in the right deck, but not that much of a motivator for teaming up with IW in the first place.
Crisis:
Now Crisis is also very playable, arguably even more then Negative Zone with the Crisis Doctor Doom deck that people have been talking about. So since Crisis really has a huge pool of characters that could be designed with the Crisis team affiliation, and what Crisis *really* needs is non-character support, I think we can put Crisis aside for the purposes of this thread.
Deathstroke:
Too small to even consider (or worry about) at the moment, if you ask me... but a team Deathstoke Terra might be fun.
Secret Six:
Now Secret Six is a team that might not want to be expanded on *TOO* much, due to their alternate-win-condition. However, all mini-teams need some legacy love, that's kind of what "mini" means ... "I could use more characters".
Untapped Secret Six character: Knockout
Speedforce:
Needs something. Anything. Not even a mini-team yet, which it could at least be turned into.
Of course, I'm not complaining. I'd rather see a team affiliation soley represented by one dual-affiliation character than not represented at all. It establishes a team, makes a future possibility of that team already have a small card base from a previous set, and gives us all the fun of speculation.
Skrull:
We've wanted it to be expanded on forever and finally it has, into a mini-team. Now due to it's natural infiltration theme, really all Skrull ever needs to be is a mini-team. But Skrulls are fun, and it would be nice to throw them some new toys every now and then. I'm not going to even bother looking up all the Skrulls that could be added to the game ... but you can! Please feel free to post as many Skrull character ideas as you want.
Rann, Thanagar, and Heroes of Earth: I don't really think we need to do anything more with these, although expanding a little bit on the Thanagar team could be fun.
Villians of Earth:
No
So please, I'm sure I've missed alot, post any ideas for current mini-team characters you have. I'm not even looking for mechanics, just characters - although if you have an ingenius mechanic to go with it, go ahead and post it of course.

That's only a Crisis deck in the sense that it uses Crisis on Infinite Earths to play multiple Dr. Dooms. It doesn't play Harbinger or Pariah or anything like that.

True, but it does give them the Crisis team affiliation, so if they made a legacy card that made having the team affiliation relevant, I think that qualifies. That's just me though - it is kind of subjective.
there's a chance Negative Zone will be expanded a lot in the future, since the current Annihilation story revolves around Annihilus and his grand army. They could just make a new Annihilation Wave team, but it's probably just easier to fully flesh out the NZ team.

Expanding Negative Zone with that would be awesome, who or what does the army consist of?

Anyone of Annihilus's army... You've got Ravenous, plus various insectoid-type characters as possible army cards... You can have a Negative Zone affiliated Thanos as well...

At the Infinite Crisis Sneak Preview in San Diego, I talked to Justin Gray about how people on the boards had the pitchforks and torches out because of the lack of Wally West in the set. I forget exactly what his reply was, but it pretty much assured that Speed Force will be in Legion of Super Heroes. Shadowpact was foreshadowed one set ahead in JLA, so I don't think they're going to skip a set before releasing it
If the Speed Force is going to be in Legion in any major way, wouldn't they have said it in the ads or anything else? It's quite possible that a few new cards will show up(maybe like the Skrulls in Heralds), or that they will have some more dual-affiliated characters in the set. Either way, I expect the Speed Force to get a headliner set next year.

He also has his various queens, the currs, and possibly even Aegis and Tenebrous (though they're probably too powerful to be affiliated and would have to be 9-10 drops)
In the "Pet Deck Food" thread, oogie-boogie said he was looking for a Secret Six legacy card that could help him deal with both recovery and reinforcement, so I thought of a rough mechanic that Knockout could fill that need with.
Thought I'd post here again as it's kind of a thread-topic cross-over.

SABBAC, basically. Surprised he wasn't dual-affiliated with F5 in his Villains United incarnation. I guess they could get another Sivana, too.
With a team as small as the Fearsome Five, I think it'd be best to get them as many different characters before giving them another version of an existing character.
Fearsome Five / Villians United Sabbac would be Awesome!
