Looking past all the Press Kree decks everyone's made, what do you think the future of the Press mechanic will be? Do you think any other teams will feature Press in the coming sets?
At first, I didn't think so, but maybe it's telling that that Darkseid has a ton of armies at his command and that his team shares the "opponent's resources stay down" theme with Kree.

I think there is a future of press in another team, but I think only one more team (most likely a DC team) will "main-theme" it; although even then not to the degree that Kree has.
Other teams will probably get thrown a press character or two, like Sentinels and Manhunters, but I don't think more then one more team will be given the press to really main-theme the strategy without teaming up.
The *REASON* I think this, is that actually the thing that holds press in check to a large degree is uniqueness. With the huge amount of 2-Drops they end up dumping, having more than one team up that could continue to drop 2-drops without running into a uniqueness problem might be allowing press too much versatility. Press, like the Kree, should really be a one-minded thing (although there is a large amount of strategy within it, don't get me wrong).
Darkseid's Elite getting a press character or two: I'd bet on it.
Darkseid's Elite getting press as a main theme: I'd buy that.
Darkseid's Elite being "balls-to-the-wall" press-mongers like Kree: Doubtful.
In short, I say expect one more team (probably DC) to main-theme it without giving it as much dependancy as Kree. Expect some other army/swarm teams to get a Press character or two. Maybe expect half a handful of unusal uses for Press afterwards: a 2-Drop Press Jimmy Olsen that makes Superman cost 1 less the turn he comes in? Probably not, but something "unexpected" like that. Undoubtedly they'll be looking for another use for Press other than the 2-2-3-4-5-6 curve in non-Press teams though.
Actually, Access, your idea for Olsen is precisely the kind of thing I can imagine seeing future Press characters having. The Kree represents Press as essentially their space forces being so efficient/effective (or being ruthless enough, depending) that they pay a reduced cost compared to everyone else for what they get.
Darkseid's Elite seems like another team ripe for such a trick, but I suspect the more important Kree cards to look at for them are most of the Lunatic Legion characters, Conquered Planet, Improper Burial, and the versions of Ronan. Darkseid's Elite had the main problem in older sets of forcing extra cards to be run just to replace cards (which generally is helpful to the opponent as often as not). The Kree setup gives you multiple characters that can replace things just because they're on the field, and you can build a very aggressive curve that lets you get the most out of your tricks.
Teams that could end up with Press in the future don't really seem to be coming down the pipe. DE's probably the best for it, but I wonder if they'll risk it. The Wild Pack can justifiably have it, as well. I seriously doubt they'll ever make an Army character with Press of a low cost, especially 2 (or God forbid, a 1-drop), so I don't know enough of the Wild Pack to come up with differently named Pack members that could qualify for it.
Another thought: Do you think there's any chance of UDE printing up some anti-Press hate plot twist or locations? Political Pressure obviously puts a wrench in the works, but I'm thinking something that targets Press characters specifically. This is such a potentially explosive mechanic, I'm wondering if they have a safety coming down the line.
I've long thought they'd eventually make a card that punishes anyone for putting a higher total cost of characters into play than the number of resources they have. Of course, with that wide a range of decks it can effect (Press, free characters, Dr. Light, Secret Six, self-resource-KO'ing), it would be a pretty tame effect, I'd imagine. Having things out like the 6-drop Dr. Psycho means that there are already options in different formats for doing something against a Press deck, but if it does end up being too explosive, they might end up having to introduce a Political Pressure 2.0 or something similar. One idea might be a DEF pump that's +1 per character the controller of target attacker brought into play that turn. *shrug*

EDITED AS I CHANGED MY OPINION RIGHT AFTER I READ WHAT I POSTED.
I was thinking about this when the Press mechanic was first revealed. I really don't know what other teams could benefit from Press, although I think Sentinels would be great for it. Then again, they are already pretty broken and don't need any additional tools.
Still, I'd like to see a random Press character thrown into different affilations if possible. The Jimmy Olsen example is a good one, and I'd love to see more "tricks" with Press in future sets. Perhaps if we see some GCPD people in World's Finest (as part of Gotham Knights) we'll see some Press splashed in there.
