It seems like whenever there is a great deck, and great cards found within that deck all the people on here complain and complain. An example of this was curve sentinels. I mean come on, this game is a great game, if you guys stopped net decking and found ways to make your own decks to try and compete with HV, and other such decks it would make this game a lot more fun. After all it is the best game since DBZ.
In DBZ, the game transitioned after 2 years into a metagame where you had really no idea what you were going to see at an event. Now if you ask me that is awesome. If you can take a deck you created and come out on top it just makes everything great. It makes victory that much sweeter. Then when you go to another event you look around and you see your deck being played.
Someone who is generally very good at making decks that beat the metagame and his decks are his own creation is Mike Jacob. Before he was a Donkey he was awesome, and now while he is a Donkey I am sure he is helping them push through with some of their decks.
All I am saying is if you want something done about the metagame you have to do it yourself, take a stand, take a risk and make something. Even if you only get one win at an event with it, go back reflect, and build upon that one win. The best thing about making a new deck is that when it hit the Meta for the first time no one knows what to expect while playing it. Fill your decks with surprises and run with it. It can be done, make this game come over the top where every move will be unexpected.
Make this game as good as DBZ was before an Asian took over the development and literally killed it. This might be hard to make a unique deck in modern, it can still be done, but much harder. But from what I see most of the complaining is being done in the golden age and silver age area. Its time for the VS community to stop taking the easy way out and develop their own idea, that will be the day in history. Its time for this good game to transition to a great game, let the golden age of VS begin now and never look back!
Bye, bye, Mr. Net Decker
Drove my jank to a tourney
But the tourney was dry
And them good old players were playin CS and Hi (HV)
Singing this will be the day that I cry
This will be the day that I cry

Oooh, ok. Yeah, that's cool.

Now the song was also uncalled for.
Anywho, I agree with the basis of what you're saying, except for the DBZ being great and your racist thing. People net-deck too much.
HOWEVER, being as there are large cash-money prizes for VS tournaments, there are alot people who have to net-deck (or at least net-deck and modify) to win cash. When you bring something like that into the equation, you can't really blame people who are playing it to make income from net-decking. When a game is popular enough and has enough at stake, the competitive environment tends to become more developed. Just yelling at net-deckers doesn't really change the situation.
Also, people rarely help causes by taking the arguement to some extreme rant that involves racism, encourages people by trying to make the game "as good" as some game most of us have never played, and ends with trying to get everyone else to sing.
We may be on the same bandwagon, but you're acting like the crazy guy on the bandwagon whose kinda' making us look bad. This thread seems more like an attempt to rally people on your side rather than put forth any legitimate arguement or idea.
It's just the nature of the beast. There will always be netdecks and there will always be people who don't like them. For people like Em7, there is a real time consideration to this. If they want to do well in a tournament, they need a netdeck. They don't have time to test an idea enough to make it a better choice against the metagame than a random netdeck. I'd rather these people play and netdeck then stop playing at all. Besides, it's mostly the people who don't have time or take the time to test that make up that metagame that your rogue deck tears through.
Re: the Asian comment--WTF? If you don't like the new lead designer, make it clear that it's because he's a crappy lead, not because he's Asian.
Net decks are just a means of controlling the lesser players. The pros come up with good decks, and people net deck them. Then, the pros use the knowledge that people will be playing decks that have done well to their advantage. Ever hear of a metagame? Net decks are just another way the pros keep winning events. Without people net decking, it would be harder for them to discern the metagame.

In conclusion, its a pro conspiaracy.
Maybe I should start showing up to PCs/10Ks.
Not with the idea of winning in a metagame I haven't meta'd for ... but just to throw off the metagame and maybe effect who DOES win.

I agree with you! Thats kinda the nature or it all, if the meta is all crazy and such then no one will know what is going on. Why dont you show up to PC's/10k's anyways?
Because I'm too lazy to drive or fly all the way there and register my deck and I don't really need the money.
Now, if they stopped with all this silly cash non-sense and let the winners make a random design-choice for a future set ... now that would be worth the effort.
But, unlike people I know, I bet you're not actually too lazy. I know people who actually audibled from Titans to Wild Vomit because of this. I may or may not have been one of them.

This sounds like a great idea I hate netdeckers too, so do you have a deck list I can use.
