I think you're wrong on all 5 accounts particularly #2
I do quite like Good Guys though for #1
I'm very surprised a MHS variant isn't on your list.
It's all about the unrestricted beats for SA seeing as the one true combo deck is dead and dead.
I think Xstatix Villians could be considered here as well. They only lose Terrax and Spiderman whilst gaining Adam Warlock (unsure about his viability but it's auto win vs some decks).
I also wouldn't call any Faces deck that runs off Chimp a Faces deck. Should be properly refered to as "Chimp/Dr Light Weenie deck" I think.
as much as i love Faces (i consider Chimp Faces a Faces varient), they dont have what it takes to be a top 5 deck
as for X-Statix/VU, i dont know if they still have what it takes to be considered top 5 with the loss of Spider-Man, he is a key to that deck, but that is to be seen.
The Secret Society deck definatly doesn't work in SA. EVERYONE, will be packing multiple meltdowns. That deck could win because of the fact that the Fate Artifacts were invincible and no one was running KO. It was a good metagame choice, not a great deck.
I'm not going to go into much detail (because it's the week before Columbus and I'm going), but:

Losing Flamethrower hurt MHS a *lot*. There's no comparable equipment card to fill the slot, and Haywire's a combo card, not a rush card.

Actually, toolboxing curve decks of various stripes are very, very strong. The only really explosive fast beats deck is Fate Squad.

Warlock is good, but Deathstroke is frequently better. Between the two, though, you're usually poised well enough to deal.

A good choice walking blind into a completely unknown PC meta doesn't make it actually a good deck. It put a total of one copy in the Top 8s of 10Ks Hamilton and Charlotte, and the Hamilton Top 8 was likely due to the massive skewing effect that Ivy League had on the meta for that tourney (invalidating a lot of the slower decks that take Squad to pieces.)
Remember, Glock, of all decks, also went 9-1 on day 1 of PC:SF, and Glock has been a terrible deck in Silver Age from as soon as the format became established.
And just to put the nail in the coffin, there were 34 Squadron decks at Charlotte, compared to 19 Deep Green and Checkmate/Villains combined. In the top 8? No Squadron, two Deep Green, one Checkmate/Villains, one Checkmate/Mental.

What ever happened to Glock? I had considered it to be a top deck, but it doesn't seem to get any love any more.

Society in SA.....
I'm failing to see how because faces runs chimp, it is not a faces variant. Maybe I'm just partial to it since my team wa the ones to run it at 10k Charlotte.
