Could anyone ever see Static getting a set?
Is Static Shock even DC or Marvel?
Do you think this set would be good?
THX
1) Nope.
2) If Tombster212 is right, then it would appear so. This means that while I don't see him being the star or focus of a set at any point in the near or far future, he may be included in one if he's actually part of the mainstream DC universe, or has at least ever set foot in it.
3) Probably not. If you want to put forward an idea for one though, there's a thread Begone77 started called "expanding VS". I should have a link to it in my signature.
Static Shock was originally a character named Static who had his own title. The company that developed Static was Milestone comics.
Milestone used DC as a distributor for their line, thus, there was a close association between the two companies. Within the realms of cartoons only, Milestone comics has allowed Static to crossover into the DC universe.
Milestone was a company based around the concept of Black creators and black heroes. The books were well written with a rather unique look due to the watercolor look that was used across the line (required special paper for printing, so it is something that hasn't really been used elsewhere).
Static was very good. I also recommend Icon from the line.
I'd say there's enough material for Static Shock. We've got both Justice League timeline and Batman Beyond timeline. He's met the Batman duo, Justice league, and a powerful member of the Beyond line-up. He's got enough of a crew (more legitimate than Doom, anyway.) like Gear, thatgirlwiththecheapcostume, Rubber Band Man, etc.
At least a special pack, like Hellboy. I miss Static :noid:
