Ok heres an interesting situation. Turn 3 I recruit The 3 drop Doom. I search for a plot twist and put it on the top of my deck. The I exhaust Dr. Doom to bring Deadshot from my KO pile into play. Now I control a Secret 6 Character. Heres where it gets tricky.
Can I remove Scandal from the game (her ability) to search for a plot twist. Meaning I put her effect on the chain. Then before I search my deck, KO Deadshot for Dooms ability to put the top card of my deck face down in the resource row, and then search my deck for an ongoing plot twist? Would this be legal because when I start the chain with Scandal, I control a Secret 6 character or would her effect just 'Fizzle' so to speak because when I go to search I have no Secret 6 characters.
Remove Scandal from the game >>> If you control a Secret Six character, search your deck for an ongoing plot twist card, reveal it, put it into your hand, and shuffle your deck. Use this power only if Scandal is in your hand.
The check for a Secret Six character is in the resolution, so Deadshot has to be in play when Scandal resolves.
You're trying too hard. Here's how to get the result you desire:
Recruit Dr. Doom. When he comes into play, on the chain to his plot twist search effect, exhaust Dr. Doom to put Deadshot into play. When that effect resolves and Deadshot is put into play, before Dr. Doom's effect resolves, remove Scandal from the game to activate her effect. Let that effect resolve, and get your Ongoing Plot Twist. Then let Dr. Doom's effect resolve and place a Plot Twist on the top of your deck.
See? No need to KO Deadshot at all, unless you need to put the searched card into your row, in which case you can do it after the above has resolved.
And that's why some people are really good at this game. They see all the chain stuff and the right way to resolve it. The key is to do that in a sealed/draft environment when you haven't been able to think about it ahead of time.
