My friend was thinking of buying a playmat, and being a Superman fan he was thinking of getting a Man of steel one. He couldnt find one online and as were talking about this i couldnt ever remember seeing one. Did they do playmats for Man of Steel and if they did what art did they use?

There were a few playmats for the initial release of VS. [Total Anarchy, Thor and Onslaught] but they didn't start doing a playmat with each set until Green Lantern forward.
So the [I believe] complete list of playmats are:
Thor
Onslaught
Total Anarchy
Green Lantern
Avengers
JLA
Phoenix Rising (X-Men)
Captain Marvel (IC)
I Must Obey (HoG)
Fatal Five Hundred (LS)
So, in about 6 months, give or take, there will be a World's Finest playmat. Until then though, no Superman playmat [the closest would be the JLA one, it does have supes on it]
Dude just buy some play mat matterial all it is is mouse pad matterial . Get white and have some one who can draw do some sups pics and stuff . 1 thing don't try to draw right on it I tryed and it doesn't erase off that well . Instead of drawing right on it I draw my pic and that I use transfor paper kinda like traceing paper redraw it that flip it on to the pad and rub it on it leaves a fant out line you can go over and whala you got your own play mat . My shadowpact one looks sick .
I did a pretty good Savage Beatdown mat using permanent markers that turned out really nice. (Sketched a grid and basic image with a gray colored pencil, then went back over everything with Sharpies.) However, I do have a question for anyone out there:
Anytime the mat gets damp or if I have been carrying it around and my palms sweat, the colors bleed a little. I'm concerned that if I need to wash it or it takes a big splash of water, I'll trash my prized possession. Has anyone ever heard of a way to 'seal' the colors to the mat so I don't screw up my work of art?
Not wanting to get in trouble for posting offsite links, but www.nestedegg.com/matprices
is a great place to get them done. They've done mats for StuBarnes, and tons of other people. On eBay, they sell blank mats (and premade art mats) under the name CasanovaPooh, which is the same member name they use on this site.
Great guys. They're doing 4 for me right now. Green Arrow, Secret 6, Full Metal Alchemist, and JLA
It came out realy cool I don't have a pic tho I'll try to get one. There are sharpys markers that have a fine tip I got mine at A C MOORE. It's a 24 color pack Pritty cool . They have a black 0.005 MM fine tip marckers there to it's about the size of a hair. Nice thin lines .I found out that if you let your first pass of color dry you can go back and draw musle deffinition like mucles ,clothing .It makes the color deeper .
