Now that Marvel TCG is going online, we will be able to play in tournaments using the game client. And the best part of this client....

And... Since VsRealms has had online tournaments run through OCTGN in the past. Might we be able to run VsRealms hosted tournaments on the server? I don't know how willing RyanDG would be to this, but I know I would love it.

What are some of your thoughts? Any suggestions on logistics of the tournaments? If UDE isn't giving us Organized Play (Which they are, relax guys), then we'll make our own online!!

I'd think i'd only want to play drafts if thats possible through this system. I mean, other then possibly modern, I wouldn;t make a constucted deck. Spending money on virtual cards for playing in a tournament that has no impact on me in real life seems silly to me. Draft pratice would be fine though.

However, if, like modo, they have tournaments that can qualify you for the PC or something, I'd be down for that.

Looking at the forums on the website (It's down right now), one of the more active members of the forum is on the devlopment team. We told about draft, and he was very willing to implement draft into the game. Granted, it probably will not be available for release, but it looks like it will be one of the first updates.

As long as they punctual with releasing new sets, then we can practice drafts online for some major tounraments. Right now, we just have a bunch of vintage draft options right now.

As for constructed, yes it is a hassle to buy the cards again online. However, I do not know how popular the game is where you live Dr. Strange. But it is DEAD here. And I can't do anything about it because I live at college where I haven't been able to find a decent hobby store. So, my alternitive is this. Granted, it is only Marvel, but I'm interested in what kind of metagame this will create. Plus we got some big guns in the Realms world already riding the bandwagon.

I'm sure we can get more.
