Ok I know this will probably tick off quite a few people but just in case it's not been mentioned, WHY in the hell is it when I come to VSrealms all it has on the main topics are upcoming comics? I know VS took one hell of a hit and there are no major events really any longer, but dayam this is VSrealms not COMICrealms????

I use to love coming to this site to get all the scoop and wonderful news and articles from everyone, but I've noticed all it really is anymore is just comics on the main page.

Maybe I'm just not a true geek, but I want VS news not comic news when I come here.

If there's VS news, you'll see it. Since a PC just happened, I'd assume the news would be slow afterwards. All the sets have been announced for this year, all that's left is that surprise for the fall.

Also, nothing wrong with getting into comics. You may even like it.

I sorta agree, x2 Comic Frontpaged items is a bit iffy for me... but no reason to get bent out of shape.

Why not write an article and start a trend?

The comics portion of the front page consists of two weekly comic based programs, out of atleast twice as many VS articles/casts.

I'd say you just have bad timing.

We have Gabe, as well as the fallout shelter, Fatalsync's posts and kamiza's. Granted, we no longer have coverage of the OP, but you've already stated the reason for that.

Lastly, you can't begrudge the comic love that is the basis for the very game your playing. That's akin to asking for the WoW realms not to have any information on recent Wow gaming events on the front page.

I ignore most of the comics news... I have sites for that. It DOES seem to appear more than say, card reviews or deck ideas, lately, but... hey, I'm not complaining.

You want articles? Make the PCs end seasons, not start them. But, we've gone over that many, many times, and I'm sure someone will quote me and rehash what I've, and many others, have said.

Here's some ideas of articles people can write:

How about an article from UDE about what they're going to do with everyone's leftover PC points. That's an article I'm dying to read, especially since I'm not the only one that's worked hard to get them.

An article about slowing down the sets a bit. 4 main sets and a Hellboy collector set? Seriously, every set is(was?) essential to staying competitive with the format changes and it's quite expensive at retail (let's assume we're all supporting our local retailers). They pop in one or two powerful/really useful cards in each set and we have to dump out more money to be competitive? Ugh.

An article on why people like to kiss so much butt when we get an announcement from UDE with vague information about things without actual dates. Sure, I'm a little cynical, but every time I read some posts from the UDE representatives (yes, I do appreciate them), about 50% of the replies are from people thanking them for useless teaser information that usually comes a month or two later than announced.

Yeah, this has kinda become comic relms. Most of the people who play now are in it for the comics and game, not so much for the actual playing of the game. Oh you can still play the game with the few friends once a week or so, if you're lucky enough, but I don't know how much you can really call that a "game".

But anything more then that is too "Pro" and apparently "Pro" means "magic player" and who wants that right? I mean, it's not like magic is successful or anything...

Uhm... wait until Monday? ^_^;

I might just do that, probably I see I can't write about anything informative at this point since it will just be badmouthing UDE for f'in up a once great game.



Also I have been visiting the site for awhile and this was something I noticed awhile back, I'm not fully upset with them, if there's no news on VS, there's no news. I'd taken a hiatis break, leave of absense, whatever you want to call it from VS to play WOW and UFS and am finally coming back to try VS again, and just was hoping for a little more articles/news on the VS side.


I will say again, if there is no news, there is no news, but I'd prefer to have the comic section be a smaller section off to the side instead of on the main page.


As far as reading comics, I tried that before many times, actually still love all Wolverine and Xmen comics, but since I read Identity Crisis, I have sworn off of comics. That was a GREAT series until you got to issue 7, then it was horrid (again my thoughts not fact or anything I know some liked the ending)

This is a Vs. website?! All this time I thought people were side-tracked while we were downloading the latest Code Geass. I should've noticed the lack of NWSF pictures.

Let me assure you, judging all comics by an unfavourable ending in one isn't a good call.

Also, does an ending you didn't like really ruin the middle you did? I'm guessing you thoroughly enjoyed 1 through 6......so why let seven ruin the rest for you?
