How does Namor fall into the ranks of the 198 or Endangered Species being as Namor has been called Marvel’s First Mutant? Is he an X-Men type Mutant to where he could join the X-Men if he wanted or does Namor fall into a different definition of Mutant as he is half-Human/half-Atlantean so he is more of a mix breed and not a power manifested Mutant?

JQ: Namor is a mutant and one of the 198. His mutant power is the wings on his ankles. Every other power he has is due to his complex nature as a hybrid of human and Atlantean.

So there you go, UDE! Can Namor finally get the tag (er, um...Trait) that he deserves?

It's one of those things that never really made sense, but it's good to have a definitive answer one way or another.

Also, it's cool that despite his flying, super-strength and all-around badassness, the mutant part of him is the little wings. How can you not love Namor?

yeah, i love Namor. the sad thing is Black Adam is better at being Namor than Namor is.

do they NEED to do anything? They're little ankle-wings! Who wouldn't want them? They make you cooler just by having them

I guess they give him flight... just imagine if they were bigger and on his back... he could probably fly through the time-space continuum.

Well duh, how do you think he flys - magic, or some mutan...I mean sure they do somethin'. They look like bird wings but are actually like really cool looking like bee type super fast moving propel him through the air wings.

Yea, the wings actually do let him fly, but even if they did nothing they'd still rule!
