I noticed in most card games the second card in a chain works first, is that true with vs? Ok, so Null time zone is only during the build phase, cool got it, what happens if I play it and decide Legendary battles can't be played can my opponent play it as a chain? And will it work? Also what about if legendary battles is played then I chain it to Null time zone, what happens? Which effect works first? Help!
Null Time Zone stops a card from being played once it has resolved its effect. If the named card is able to be played during the build phase, it can be played on the chain after Null Time Zone. It will still resolve and have its effect.
If a plot twist is played during the build phase, and you respond to it with a Null Time Zone, naming that plot twist, nothing will stop that effect already on the chain from resolving. It has already been played, and Null Time Zone only stops playing it. It does not negate effects that already exist on the chain.
Null Time Zone is best used to name a card that cannot be played in response. Either it isn't legal at the time, or would not be beneficial at the time.
Legendary Battles has all ready been played. While Null Time Zone is on the chain they can play anything they have and it will not negate any effects all ready on the chain. Once Null Time Zone resolves it will lock out whatever plot twist you pick for the turn.
It's probably also worth noting that you name the card for Null Time Zone in resolution, not activation. So you play it, they play stuff in response, and if one of the cards they happen to play was something you might have named, you could then use this knowledge to name something else.
xJason makes a very Important Point: You only choose a plot twist name as Null Time Zone is resolving. You do not choose a name until then, and so your opponent can never play a plot twist in response to your choice. He can play plot twists before NTZ kicks in, absolutely, but he's doing so before you choose anything.

Oh, alright, I've been sorta playing it wrong, thanks.
I play Null time zone, you have a chance to play a plot twist, then I say a card name and after NTZ resolves that card I state cannot be played that turn. Or if you play Legendary battles and then I NTZ that the legendary battles goes first.
It does, the legendary battle goes through. The way I understand it:
1. I play NTZ
2. You play Legendary battles
3. I state the name of a non-ongoing plot twist
4. The plot twist I state can't be played once it is all resolved.

4. That card I stated can't be played
5. Legendary battles work this turn
so basically i have a chance to play a non ongoing plot twist like legendary battles during the build phase whether it is before or after you play NTZ yes?
It goes like this:
1) I play NTZ, pass.
2) You play stuff - in this case, Legendary Battles, and pass
3) I pass. Legendary Battles resolves.
4) NTZ resolves. I name "Savage Beatdown" or whatever seems appropriate.
