I was walking through Wal-Mart and saw tons of sports cards, yugioh cards, naruto cards, pokemon cards, magic cards, warcraft cards, etc.

Then I pick up a new comic and see an advertisement for yugioh. Yeah, that's on a comic.

Then I get in the car, and I hear a commercial on the radio for upper deck sports cards.

Geez, I think to myself. Why do sports cards sell so well, when you can't even play with them. Why did WOW sell so well?

I realized that WOW sold because people were looking for loot cards. Baseball sells well because it sells well, but I remember buying box after box looking for the insert cards.

So, how can we get inserts into Vs. When I bought sports cards, there would be an insert card that you could fill out and send in for a special prize. Could be an autographed ball, card, special set of cards, etc.

I know we have the points cards, but is there really anything in the point store you want?

So, how about random insert cards to win Spider-man #1, win an original drawing by <insert artist name here>, win life-size Doom. It seems that this could produce a lot of the fervor that WOW saw.

One guy walked into our store, bought six boxes of WOW, opened all the packs, took the 2 loot cards and gave everything else back to the store. There are some rich comic geeks out there that would by boxes trying to get the insert to win them an original drawing by <insert artist name here>, or an original first issue of their favorite hero.

It works for other products; why not this one?

What would you want to win from your pack? And would you buy more to try to get it?

If they had insert cards such as that i know many people who would buy boxes upon boxes just to get a chance to win an original comic from one of their favorite series. I would like to see UDE at least TRY to save this game...itd be nice.

Loot cards and random prizes would be good, but supposedly the point store is getting new stuff eventually. I really wish they'd stop stalling on it, there's no way I'm wasting my points on wallpaper for my computer.

I'm not s huge fan of inserts. But, if they could be done like the loot cards or simply blanks cards that you fill out and mail, I'd be fine with that. It would keep packs from being weighed, searched, etc.

As for what could I win.....

*Any old edition comics

*Original art from any old good artists: Kubert, McFarlane, etc.

*Why not up the ante and straight up give away cash and/or trips?

I just wish the UDe points weren't so worthless right now, they could at least throw some VS sleeves in, hell a deck tin, maybe even a playmat, SOMETHING besides damn wallpaper.

I do wish they'd hurry up with the point cards. With that said, good sets filled with interesting cards are the only thing to get me to personally buy packs; I generally don't buy packs to capitalize on cheap gimmicks.

You forgot yu gi oh sells due to their rarity system, which in turn makes a great second market.

How many packs would you buy if you could trade in UDE Point cards for:

1. EA Enemy
2. EA Mobilize

Or any EA for that matter... even commons, uncommons and JJJs.

Heck I'd do it if I could trade my points for an Imperiex, or any other rare card, but I love the idea of EA's-for-points erick.

Quoted for truth. I've said it before, and I'm gonna say it now... The holo pack things that come with the hellboy deck... Do the same thing they did with the raid packs, and make it so you can get them with ude points. I mean... how ELSE will I get my foil playset of anything? Buy thirty hellboy EC's? Yeah, you wish.

But yeah. Incentive makes my wallet tingle. More Incentive than playing with my pretendeyfuntimesuperhero cards.

But, it would be nice if you could exchange them for deck boxes, deck sleeves, play mats, and even gift certificates to the UDE store.

Give me the loot cards, and id start buying boxes, im a rabid comic fan(mostly DC) and im always going out of my way to find ways to get older comics of my favorite characters. i royally $hiz my pants if in random draft i open an Amazing Fantasy #15 repemption card...would it necesarily help the game??? for getting people to play the game i really think not, because you have the random FanBoy who doesnt playthe game coming in and buying product for just the case cards, then not giving a rat's patootie about learning to play. sure it helps sales, but does it wouldnt increase a player base unless they turn those dollars into prizes(when they arent fishing around for rare books to but in as the loot cards. but it would be something to look into by ude, i think its better than the points. and they'd need a good name besides "loot" cards...call them...ah hell i got nothing for that. but still its a good idea none the less

Well WoW is their guinea pig game for the UDE Points store, and they've had some terrible problems with shipping things out from the store. People ordered items months ago, and still haven't received them.

I'm sure once they iron all that out, they'll start putting stuff in the store for us.
