In the procedure for playing an effect, targets are chosen before costs are paid. So Rasputin isn't stunned yet when you choose your target stunned character.

Not that winning on turn 7 is all that great, even for silver age...

On a somewhat related note, if you use JUOD, does anyone know what the the source of the stun is? Is it simply the plot twist?

What about peacemaker? "you may stun a character with cost 3 or less." Am I the source of the stun here? or is peacemaker?

Also, if I attack with a character, the attack becomes legal, and then I use Join Us or Die on my attacker, does that remove my character from the attack, or does the attack still happen?

The more I think about this card the more interesting it gets.

Edit: Nevermind, I just remembered that doing it on a defender removes the defender from the attack and re-readies the opponent's attacker, so I can only assume it removes my attacker from the attack as well.
