I think there should be a thread about Doc's search engine every month or so. It is such an effective tool. I use it everyday and it helps me find ridiculous cards for my decks. He deserves mega-rep. Captain America kind of rep. Wesley Willis kind of rep.
Case in point: I'm building a deck for my buddy to use at an upcoming CC, so I realise that every character but one in this deck has the same version. Realising this, I type in "version" into the card text, and find Furious Assault, which is like a mini-TNB. Brilliant.
Logging in tonight, I realise Docx has changed the engine so that you may search by format! Good lord! You rockx.
Is there a way to search only in certain sets? I was trying to look up SA stuff and had to scroll past GA stuff to get to everything. just wondering...

docx at some point in the recent past added a "Tournament Format" filter right above the search buttons
You can also use regular expressions in the card number field, since every card number incorporates the set abbreviation.
For example, paste the following string to get the current Silver Age cards:
dgl|dbm|mff|mav|djl|mxm|mxs|dcr|mhg|dls|ehb|mtu
(the |'s represent logical or's... you could grab just everything from dcr forward to get the current modern format)
