I am just wondering what everyone is planing to play at your local Random Punks tourny? Also, what do you guys and galls think will be the best for this format? I have not been playing the game long enough to know what will be amazing and what won't be.

there are 5 decks that come to mind that should do relatively well in this format as they don't lose too much as far as rares. in no particular order:

squad--only loses other-earth
avengers reservist--only loses the mansion
TNB--can't think of anything this loses
BigBH--can't think of anything this loses either
BH reservist--loses boot to the head, and amelia voight

i may have forgotten someother decks that aren't rare intensive, but those are the ones that come to mind right away. as far as what i might be playing. no sure as of yet.

Checkmate doesn't lose much, neither does Squadron No Hand. I suspect they will be the netdecks of choice.

Also voltage can be made to be playable with no rares, heralds might also be a choice since they do have a platable 8 drop (the only uncommon 8-drop ever made).

I'd love to run a variant on Pier Pressure or Midnight Toystore, but I'm concerned that there'll be too much equipment hate out there to make it worth my while playing my fave decks (*sighs*)

I'd also love to pull out the Crime Lords, just cos I wub them so, but without Stilt-Man? What's the point??

What about Skrulls without Nenorra? They had no rares to begin with anyway? That's what I'm thinking of packing anyway.

if you mean instead of the New Super-skrull or Rogue I play the 5 drop super girl from DSM if you boost her everyone gets a cosmic counter good for Wolvie, Cap America and Paibook, although he can get it on his own with 3 or more affiliations

High Voltage loses WAY too much. They lose:

Enemy Of My Enemy (This enabled the deck to be consistent in the first place)
Wild Ride (Okay, now you're just sacking into drops)
Flamethrower (Burn? Who needs it? Advanced isn't THAT amazing)

That's it from what I can think of but, that's a pretty big blow.
