Okay, this has been a blast but we are missing one.
The member category.
akugyaku has something about sleeping with sheep and I just must know the juicy details!
(And, you slackers, if you don't have a member category you need to donate today to get one. I mean it.)
"Chaos Magician" came to me back in the glory days of underground publishing from a blurb on the back of Semiotext(e). Prolly around 1987. Austin Spare is the ultimate when it comes to Chaos Magick... and he appears in a few issues of Promethea for the hardcore comic bookies.
Because someone needed to let the Yankees know they aren't welcome.
I'm especially enjoying this season so far. For the first time in a while, all the money in the world CAN'T buy wins. They certainly have plenty of players I would actively root for... they just happen to wear the wrong hat and uniform.
Way back in the long ago time of 2006, I formed a little team known as Team Jank-Sauce! We strived to turn the tide of "Hey, (random PC Pro)played this, so I should too!" that seemed to be so prevailant. We decided that we would be the underground...the counter-culture.
Well, maybe we aren't a huge force of change in the meta, but we sure do have some laughs at each others expense! We still have fun with this game, and when you boil it down...wasn't that the point?
Team Jank-Sauce! FTW...even if it isn't a "Win", but more of a "win"
Homage to the way hockey crowds will chant something. The Pittsburgh Penguins goalie is Marc-Andre Fleury. In this case it was hopeful the crowd could've chanted the Penguins goalie name to the Ottawa Senators players to kind of taunt them on how he was shutting them out. Alas, twas not the case as Ottawa bounced Pit 4-1 in the playoffs. But the Pens are young and will be back.
Speaking of hockey taunts, my all time favorite was before the NY Rangers won the Cup in 1994. In the playoffs that year and leading to it, the opposing crowds would chant, "NIINE TEEEN FORRRTYY". 1940 was the last year the Rangers had won the cup and the opposing crowds let them know about it. :p
Pro hockey used to let fans throw stuff on the ice too. When the Red Wings would score, the Detroit fans threw octopus onto the ice. When the Florida Panthers would score, the home fans would throw plastic rats on the ice (go figure).
If you get a chance to go to a pro hockey game, esp a playoff game, they are a lot of fun.
