I really miss Superhero Smack Down this was a great article and I think some of our great pros that hang out on the Realms should bring this back to us.
How hard is it for two pros to get together and build two decks and play 5 games while taking notes on the game?
Not very much trust me if I was anything more then an Average player at my best I would try to start something like this.
How many pros here on realms have multiple top 8 finishes at 10ks and PCs your insights into plays in the game are very helpful to making people better players and in result improving the game as a whole.
Please users of the Realms lets show the pros we value things like this and want them to bring them back.
Pros by their nature are a lathargic people group. They play games for a living, its hard for them to do things that may appear as work on the off chance that it corrupt their relaxation extreme lifestyle.
Except Mark Slack, that guy has like the mutant power to write articles. I mean a pro that can write like Slack is like me being able to fly or walk up a flight of stairs without getting winded.
All the old pros that are still here arent interested in improving our game anymore - we just like gaming and coming up with sweet decks like the rest of you.
To be honest I'd rather hear you're having fun than writing articles, Adam. When guys like you are having fun, it means you're still playing the game and as cool as Super Hero Showdown was, it's better to have motivated players. Here's hoping you keep having fun, man.
Oh and no offense to him but if we're calling Stu our "Pro" I'll take Billy Z.
Adam means that with the cutback in OP, that there is really no reason to devote all the time to playtesting or thinking and theorizing about the game anymore. Doing all that stuff was fun when there was a incentive, but with no tournaments to playtest for it becomes fairly moot and unexciting.

Isn't Indy good enough incentive for atleast the next tournament? The cut back wasn't that bad, and is still enough to try to win some vs games if your good at it.

No, because all of the sets legal for Indy are not released yet. They also made the cooler 10k (the one that requires more playtesting) take place during the VS Pro Circuit and WoW Nationals. The cutback was very bad; if you were being paid $18 a hour and then it was suddenly cut down to $6 a hour you would be ticked too. (I am not trying to compare competitive Versus to a job, I am just stating the significance of the dollar amount). Its nice and dandy that they are having all these events taking place at GenCon, but what about the entire rest of the year? In 2005, there were ten 10ks and a PC inbetween the dates of March 19th to May 14th. Do you know what we have had this year in that period of time? NOTHING. The one PC they are having at Indy does not make up for all the events they are no longer having.
