One thing that no one can deny would help VS is if it were bought and played by more people.
Let's pretend we want VS to be played by everyone on earth.
How do we go about doing that?
First, some ground rules to keep the flames at low heat:
1. No changing the game engine... we have to use what we have.
2. Try to work within the framework of probable solutions (not like "Give a booster box to everyone").
3. Stu can't post in this thread. Just kidding. I actually want to hear what he has to say.
I agree, TV ads would help. I've seen TV ads for Pokemon, Yugioh, and Naruto, among others, but none for Vs. In the beginning, there were ads in comics (that's how I found out about the game), but nothing since then until within the last few weeks.
first, we need to change the game engine. it's too hard. second, Jeff D needs to personally visit every kid in America and demo the game to him. we could use Jeff D doubles for this since most people, outside of Spanish society, have no idea what he looks like. third, we need to get rid of all the Vs. celebrities. this has to be the people's game.
...oh, fourth, shut down Vsrealms. i think, by far, this is the best idea.
Donīt shut down VSrealms...shut down some poster here. that would work. I thought the hype that was given was enough to make it "massproduct". Well in some areas on earth it failed.
If they start to hype it again I will still support.
WE NEEDS JESSICA ALBA AND ELIZA DUSHKU to play...i garuntee lots of people would play the game then
What do I know I play versus, I personally believe that estelle getty and nipsy russel were cooler. And to the 2nd yes but would any of them play well?
First things first...make collectible card games look less nerdy by getting celebrities to play them openly, and then getting insipid articles written about them in magazines like People.
Then, put many, many comic books in every public library in the world.
If you want to do something that's vaguely possible, you could get ads into publications people who would actually play a CCG would read: gaming (both board and electronic), comics, genre movies, etc.
1st install sarcasm/sardonic comment/irony filters on the boards so that crazy @$$ designers can't cause a rukus with the engrish impaired.
B.) Guarantee that HL stores can get product on time with proper advertising /promo items (random poster/dryerase board sticker)
Gamma) Make an "entry level" product. (God help me) A Portal style product if you will, including complete keyword foldout.
Lastly) Keep up the good work
