Here's a deck that I'm considering playing for next weekend's tournament. According to my discussions with local area players, there are a TON of Lost City-based decks in the store. So I definitely wanted to try something out with Unmasked. Here's what I came up with:
Injustice, Like Lightning (60 cards)
Characters (31)
4 Beetle<>Mach 1, Reluctant Hero
4 Captain Boomerang, George Harkness
4 IQ, Ira Quimby
4 Lex Luthor, Nefarious Philanthropist
4 Dallas Riordan<>Vantage, Ionic Inheritor
1 The Joker, Headline Stealer
2 Paul Ebersol<>Techno, Man of Metal
2 Scarecrow, Psycho Psychologist
1 Floronic Man, Alien Hybrid
4 Genis-Vell<>Photon, Transformed
1 Beetle<>Mach IV, New Team Leader
This is basically my take on the Thinderbolts/Injustice Gang decks of old. I really didn't understand just how many cards the deck cycled through until I played it. Win-Lose Deal is unbelievable (especially if your opponents don't realize that you're baiting them with it). Vantage and Techno pretty much have no drawback in the deck. Finally, Photon is just plain nutty for protecting Lex.
The strategy is to hard mulligan for Lex or a 2-drop and Secret Files. Occasionally, I will keep an opening hand with a 2-drop, but usually only if I have a way to accelerate my draw (Criminal Mastermind; Win-Lose Deal and Beetle; etc.)
The drop sequence is pretty straightforward:
1 - Beetle (if you have him)
2 - IQ/Cap'n Boomerang
3 - Lex... ALWAYS!
4 - Vantage (possibly Joker against rush decks)
5 - Techno
6 - Photon/Scarcrow (Boosted)
7 - Beetle (if necessary)
Joker is actually a better 4-drop against aggressive decks, as he will prevent your opponent from playing multiple copies of plot twists like Flying Kick and Mega-Blast before Lex's trigger resolves.
I haven't had too much trouble drawing into Unmasked. That being said, I would like to find a way to fit in one more copy to guarantee that I'll always have it. However, I haven't really found a place that I could cut a card.
There you have it. Hopefully, some of you will give some of these decks a spin!
Maybe you could cut a highdrop. Because you have a lot of carddrawing. So it is possible to cut a highdrop because youŽll draw into one of them.
Hope that helped.
I just really like some of the synergy between the Thunderbolts cards that let your opponent draw a card and the Injustice Gang theme. Doom is indeed awesome with Lex and crew, though.
After some playtesting, I made the following changes:
+1 Unmasked
+1 Scarecrow, Psycho Psychologist
+1 Ocean Master
-1 Floronic Man, Alien Hybrid
-1 Paul Ebersol<>Techno, Man of Metal
-1 Beetle<>Mach IV
I thought about cutting Photon, but I really loved brickwalling attacks against Lex. It was quite easy to get his DEF up to 10 or more. I never really found myself wanting to play Floronic Man (even against Checkmate) when I could play Scarecrow. I actually started liking playing Scarecrow on turn five for the additional burn. Finally, I found that I consistently had 10 or more dead cards in hand by turn six, so a copy of Ocean Master seemed like a good call.
What would your tactics be against AGL? I am very tempted to run something like this sweet build for my RP tourney, but I'm scared that AGL will have my butt for breakfast.

Yeah... they probably would. I think that it would be relatively easy to trade Mikado and Mosha for 1-drop Beetle. To be honest, I very rarely recruit him anyway, so it would be a fairly easy swap.
There also might be a way to fit Phantom Zone into the deck to nerf any Felix Faust abuse. Slaughter Swamp is great, but could probably come out. After that, it would just be a matter of finding room for a couple more copies.
sorry to interupt, but may i ask why you are not running Dr. Destiny(6drop)? I believe that he would be nutz with the draw power of this deck.
Dr. Destiny reads:
Concealed, Willpower 5
Activate >>> Target player reveals his hand and loses 2 endurance for each character card he revealed. Use this power only during the combat phase.
he would love to burn some players for fun and educational lessons.

He seems like an obvious choice until you consider 1) he's unaffiliated and therefore unsearchable, 2) he's unaffiliated and therefore can't make use of any of the plot twists in the deck, and 3) he's a concealed 6-drop, which leaves a massive hole in your formation at a crucial turn. I'm not saying he's unplayable or anything, but he does come with three massive drawbacks.
well, i understand that he is unsearchable, but with all of the card draw you "should not" have to try to search for him. and the reason for the "s are to show that it should be unlikely that you would not draw him by turn 6.
the whole cannot make use of certian plot twist thingie, i must admit, i did not take into consideration. and now, after re-checking the deck list, i agree that for this reason he would be a bad-but-not-horrible addition unless you found spaces for 31st Century Metropolis in this already packed deck.
see, this is where i truly disagree. just because he is a concealed 6drop doesn't hurt this deck that badly, for the breakthrough that you would be taking with him not being in the visible area is negated by the burn effect that his ability gives. and i wasn't saying to play him as the main drop, but a one or two off for the alternate.
